Change My Mind
Ugh I don't wanna be here. Catherine thought to herself while standing silently next to her best friend molly who dragged her to this stupid one direction concert. Molly loves One Direction and doesn't have any other friends so Catherine was dragged along against her will. She looked up at the stage and watched the five boys dance around and act like idiots. Why do people like this they arent even dancing or anything Catherine thought while silently judging everyone around her.
After the concert Molly dragged her backstage practically hyperventilating because they got backstage passes. Catherine groaned this has to
go on longer. They went back and had to wait in an empty dressing room they were the only ones there. Catherine groaned "Ugh Mooollllllyyy can we just go i'm bboorreedd" "Uh no!" Molly said "I'm about to meet the people i have been obsessing over for three years Catherine. Three. Years. I can not just not meet them." There was a knock on the door and five boys and three security guards came in. They all looked sweaty and gross and Catherine did not really want to be near them. Molly was freaking out because these sweaty boys were near her Catherine didn't understand.
The boys walked in and the curly haired one said "Hello ladies." With a thick british accent. They stood in a line and went down it introducing themselves. Catherine was thankful because she didn't remember any of their names. "I'm Harry" the curly haired boy said' "I'm Liam" said the next one it continued down the line with Louis and Zayn, ending with Niall who had a very different accent than the others. In a lot of ways Niall was different than the others Catherine observed. Niall had blond hair which seemed to be dyed and his accent was irish not british like the other boys. Catherine couldn't help but stare at Niall but every time he looked at her she looked away and blushed. "I'm Molly and this is Catherine" Molly said introducing her and her friend. Niall's eyes lit up when Molly said Catherine.
He walked forward and Catherine's stomach filled with butterflies. Niall took her hand,kissed it and said "hello beautiful how are you?" Catherine giggled and looked at Molly who was too busy talking to the other boys to notice what was happening with the irish one. "I'm good" Catherine said blushing. "How'd you like the concert sweetie?" He asked obviously flirting with her. Catherine blushed even more and her stomach filled with more butterflies as he said sweetie. "It was ok." she said thinking that was a stupid answer and regretting saying it. "Just ok?" he asked looking kind of hurt, "what was wrong with it?" "There wasn't anything wrong with your performance." Catherine reassured him. "It was just all the people screaming that was kind of annoying" she continued. "Well that makes sense cutie I'm sorry your cute little ears had to listen to that." He said with a smile. Catherine realized with the word cutie that Niall was flirting with her and she got very nervous and lost her balance while she switched from foot to foot. She fell into Niall and he caught her "Whoa there babe it's ok i got you." He smiled and kept holding her. Catherine looked up into his blue, green eyes and got lost in them. Catherine and Niall stared into each others eyes for a long time and the room seemed to go silent until they heard "um guys?" Harry said.
Niall and Catherine realized how much time had passed and they broke from the trance looking at the others who were all staring at them in the strange position they were in. Niall's arm was around Catherine's waist and both of her arms were around his neck. They realized their position and quickly jumped away from each other, Blushing profusely. One of the security guards told the boys it was time to go and Niall asked to see Catherine's phone. She took it out and gave it to him while he gave her his phone. She added her number to it and handed it back. He handed hers back and walked towards the door standing in the doorway he turned around and she said "Text me sometime" he winked and spun around while walking away.
Molly and Catherine left giggling and talking about everything that had just happened. Molly had gotten Liam's number and was excited. As the girls got in their car to go home Catherine got a text from "Catherine's Soon To Be Boyfriend" reading "Hey cutie." She looked at it and blushed typing back a reply "Hey handsome" she replied smiling.
