"Have you ever thought about dying, Clover?" I asked. She turned to her right to stare at a girl with long curly hair.

"Many times," I replied. "I have never thought about how I would die, but I have thought about it." The wind blew and flowers fell from the Cherry Blossom Tree where we sat.

I saw Clover look at me differently this time. Why was she doing that? It's driving me insane! I can't stand her looking at me like that! I got up and stretched, trying to change the mood. I glanced over at her from the corner of my left eye. It seems she turned away. "I'm going home you should head home as well," I said. "Don't stay here alone."

"Right!" Clover responded cheerfully. She picked up her bike from under the Cherry Blossom Tree and got on it. "See ya!" Clover yelled as rode away on her bike.

".... Goodbye," I mumbled. I pulled my bike from under the tree. I glanced up at the sky. I have to go back to that hell hole tomorrow. Dammit. I got onto my bike and started pedaling. My ass! It's sore... I sat down way too long. I got to the hill where my house was. I started pedaling as fast as I could. It was a lot harder than it seemed. I drove my bike into the front yard and dropped it on the grass. I made a running start and jumped the fence. "Surely my window is open," I mumbled. "They couldn't have closed it." I walked around the corner and saw my window open and I manage to climb through it. "Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I yelled.

"I'm in the kitchen Lily!" my mother yelled back.

I walked into the kitchen and saw her cooking. "You're home early... Anything happen at work?" I said sitting down. I peered out the window and saw nothing, but houses. They all looked the same. This was like nails on a chalkboard. I felt like I was living in a toxic Suburban Illusion.

"I got let off early. Your father should be coming home later on tonight." she said.

"You don't have to pretend to be my real mother you know," I said coldly. "I know I'm adopted." I looked down at my fingers and started playing some weird game with them.

"I know..." It seemed she stopped what she was doing and then continued.

She had long brown hair with blonde highlights at the tips. She had green eyes, unlike my brown eyes. She wasn't very tall, probably about five foot two. I guess she would be considered pretty.

"Lily, tell me again why you cut your hair and dyed it blue?" she asked. She was trying to make conversation with me.

"I like it better this way it suits me. I never really liked having long hair. Even though-" I stopped myself from going on about how the kids at school were always making fun of me. "I'm going to my room.....night." I wasn't going to my room. I needed to go out and get something. I grabbed my black hoodie and climb out my window. I jumped the fence and ran towards my bike quickly. Pedaling as fast as I could, I made my way down hill and towards the drug store. It took me about five minutes to arrive. I put my bike on the bike rack, locked it securely, and walked on. "Excuse me." I walked to a person who was wearing a blue shirt. It looked like the stores uniform. "Can you tell me where the contacts are?" I asked sweetly.

"Hm? Oh! On aisle two." he said smiling.

"Thank you." I glanced at his name tag. "Adam."

"Your welcome," he said.

I walked down aisle two and saw them. Hazel contact lens, exactly what I need. I know where I had hair dye and extensions at home.I walked towards the cashier. I set my things on the counter without saying a word.

"Is that all?" She asked.

"Yes." I responded.

"That'll be $19.45," She smiled and reached for a bag, "Would you like a bag?"
