Chapter 2

I got up the next morning and looked at the time, 8:32 am clock, shit. I overslept. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I got ready and ran  downstairs. "Mom! I'm late please drive to school!" I said as I saw her in the kitchen with another lady. "Hi?" I said looking at my mom confused. "Sky, this is our new neighbor! And I invited her over for coffee" she said. I looked at the lady and smiled, "hi, I'm Skyler". She smiled back, "I'm Lisa". I turned back to my mom, "Mom, I'm extremely late, can we go now!", she looked at the time, "Oh honey you can walk, it's not that far" she said, still looking at the time. "MOM, are you kidding, I'm already late!" I said, looking at the time myself. "Where's dad?!" I asked. "He left already", "OH MY GOD!" I said and walked to the door. I closed the door behind me and started running. The school wasn't that far, but I was already late and it's was only the 2nd day of school. I ran through the front doors and into the office. After an entire explanation, I went to my locker, and headed to class. I walked in and everyone was looking at me, I apologized for being late and sat down next to Ashley. "Where were you?!?" She said. "I overslept ok!" I said, still catching my breath from basically sprinting here. "On the second day of school!?" She said, laughing. I gave her a glare, "shut up".

After class ended I walked to the bathroom, my hair was a mess. I was trying to fix it, when Morgan comes out of the stalls. I hate her so much. I roll my eyes and try to hurry up. "You know, there's this thing called a hair brush.. You should use one" she said, with an evil smile. "You know, there's this thing called shut the fuck up, you should really try it sometimes" I said, not looking at her. She rolled her eyes at me and started walking away. I put out my foot and she tripped. "Oops" I said, trying to hold back my laugh. "Excuse you!" She said. "You're excused" I said, as I start walking out. As I got out of the bathroom, I ran into someone. I look up and it's Grayson. "Oh hey, sorry" I said, as I backed up a little. "It's fine" he said smiling. "Hey so I was-", he got interrupted by Morgan. "You little bit- hi!" She stopped when she saw Grayson, and just smiled, that little bitch. Grayson just looked at her, raising one eyebrow. "Ok.....I'll talk to you later" he said, turning to me. After he walked away, I just gave Morgan a death stare. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Why did I feel like I wanted to stab her in the neck. Well I already do anyway but this time it was different.

I had math next, which meant I'll be seeing Grayson. I walked  in class and he was already there and I sat down next to him. He looked up and smiled, "hey" he said. "Hi" I said. "Hey, who was that girl that-" he started talking about Morgan but I stopped him, "no one, she's just.......a friend. Anyway you were asking me something earlier" I said, sounding so desperate. "Oh yeah, I wanted to know if you-" he got interrupted again by the teacher. Ugh, what is he trying to say to me.
I was walking out of class to my locker, right after I opened it, someone behind me kicked it and it closed. "Oops" I heard Morgan behind me, giggling. I ignored her and opened my locker again, after I gathered my stuff and turn around and notice Morgan talking to Grayson, he's laughing. Someone please choke her. She's so short, she's basically half his size. I just ignored them and walked to Ashley. We were taking the bus today. We hopped in and sat down. I noticed Ethan and Grayson were taking the bus too. I just pretended to not see them and started listening to music. They sat behind us. I felt someone touch my head and I turned around, it was Ethan. "Hey" he said. "Hi" I said and just turned around again. Once we got to out bus stop I just walked it my house. I opened the door and saw my parents arguing. They stopped the minute I walked in and they kinda forgot about it. I went upstairs in my room and started texting Ashley.
After a couple of minutes I hear the doorbell, but I just assume my parents would get it. But then I heard it again so I get up and head down stairs. I open the door and see Grayson. He's just standing there smiling like a goof, I could stare at him all day. "Hey" he finally said. "Hi, what are you doing here?" I asked. "Well I was wanted to ask you...." He paused and looked around, "just making sure no one interrupts me this time.....So! Do you maybe wanna hang out today? You know, maybe show me around and stuff" he said, he was kind of blushing. "Sure, just give me a sec" I said and ran upstairs to grab my purse. I came back downstairs and we headed to the mall. We first went to Starbucks and ordered our drinks. Afterwards we just spend the entire time just getting to know each other better. He's the sweetest thing ever. I like everything about him. His hair, his smile, the cute little birthmark on his chin, everything.
After a couple of hours we headed home. He walked me to my door. "Hey, thanks for showing me around" he said, hugging me. "Of course" I said, hugging him back. "See ya tomorrow Sky" he said in a lower voice, which send shivers down my spine. He pulled away and started walking away. I just stood there smiling.
