Smart people get screwed over by the education. They cater to, for a lack of better words "dumb people". And sometimes these "dumb people" don't care so teachers waste time trying to get them to care but they never do. And then there's the slow people. I don't have a problem with them but the teachers also cater to them. So what does this mean for smart people. They usually end up not caring and not working hard. Teachers always say we need to work hard. Well smart people would work hard IF WE HAD SOMETHING TO WORK FOR. I SIT IN SCHOOL FOR SEVERAL HOURS A DAY AND LEARN VERY LITTLE (except in social studies. I like social studies) IF ANY AT ALL. THE TEACHERS CONSTANTLY SAY WORK HARD WORK HARD WORK HARD, BUT WE DON'T CARE BECAUSE WE ALREADY KNOW THE MATERIAL SO WHY WASTE THE EFFORT WHEN I COULD BE USING IT FOR MORE USEFUL THINGS LIKE ACTUALLY LEARNING. I SHOULD LOOK ADVANCED MATH ON MY CHROME BOOK INSTEAD OF READING POEMS IN LANGUAGE ARTS. It would be a much better use of my time. Then the smart kids become the dumb kids who get catered to but don't care. I even have a stupid class where all they do is promote hard work. I can't work hard because there is no point in constant review (math) and boring useless stuff (ela) I have an extra math class that is just catering to dumb kids who don't care. Our education system is clearly flawed if you can drop out of college and become THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD. They waste valuable intelligent people, and its really sad.
