Ravio opened his mouth to speak but I didn't let him. "Where is the portal at?" I demanded.
"W-well, it actually opens up in the forest behind your house," Ravio mumbled, scratching the back of his head, "I could proably find it again and reopen it."
"Well then that's settled," I snapped my fingers and I could feel my power leaking out of me as I froze the gears of time.
I thought about putting a length seal on them. Perhaps a couple months? Just to be safe, I set the seals timer to one year until the gears would move again.
I panted as the magic was complete and nearly all of my strength left me. I stumbled forward but Ravio caught me before I fell. "Woah," He laughed, staring at me in amazement, "that's a lot of magic you got there. Careful you don't kill yourself."
"Yeah," I huffed, standing on my own, "now let's get to that portal."
I kind of wish I had rode a bike to school or something because walking all the way back to my house was no piece of cake. It took nearly an hour and halfway there Ravio had to carry me because I was so weak. But, piece of cake or no, we finally made it back to my home sweet home. I then let Ravio take the lead and he lead us on a random pathway through the woods.
"Here we are!" he exclaimed as we stood before a dried up old pond, "this is where the portal opened for me."
"Great," I mumbled, still out of breath, "how the heck do we open it."
"Well that's simple, just use your time powers to return the pond to a time when it was full," Ravio's expression became grim before he looked at me, "I should warn you, Kara. Hyrule is different from when you last saw it."
"Whatever," I shook my head, ignoring the fact he was about to say more, "just as long as Link is there somewhere, I don't care if Castle town is at the bottom of Lake Hylia."
Using whatever strength I had left, I reversed the gears of time on the small pond and it began to fill up again. To my surprise, not only was the water crystal clear, but I could feel magic within it's depths. I nearly passed out once the pond was filled again and Ravio had to catch me again.
"Maybe you should give it a rest for a while," He mumbled, helping me to my feet, but I could hardly stand unless my arm was around his shoulder.
"Ya think?" I gasped, staring at the beautiful green pond, "so now what?"
"We jump in," He shrugged, picking me up in his arms.
I almost tried to make him put me down, but I was greatful for his help. "So just like that?" I mumbled, glaring at the shimmering water, "All this time, I had access to Hyrule and didn't know."
"Yup, sad story," Ravio walked into the pond until the water was up to his knees, "Hold your breath."
I didn't ask why or hesistate as I filled my lungs with air before he plunged head first into the invisble depths with me in his arms.
