Prologue

PROLOGUE

-I sigh as the wind blows my hair.
"This is it," I said.
This is the last time I'll breathe in this air,
This fresh air, that I breath out,
Is my last breath.
-This is the end...

I hear soft footsteps trailing behind me.
It must be her.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" she asked.
-As expected.
She has always been by my side.
And she never regrets her decisions to help me.

-I sigh, once again.
"My friend..." I hesitate to speak.
She will be the last I'll see,
The last I'll hear,
The last person who'll be there for me.
-No, not just her!
I wish it never had to end this way.
"You do know what'll happen if you do this?" she asked.
-I'm well prepared of that.
"Will you regret this?"
-Maybe, but I have to.
"Please, don't do this!" she begged.
-I can't, I've already made my decision, my fate.
"Why? Why do this? To me, To us, To everyone?" I hear her, beginning to sob.

-You'll understand once you find it yourself.
"Please, Ka-"
"My friend..." I spoke.
"I'll leave the rest to you and protect the others..."
"But..." she sobs.
"Besides," I turned around.
"This is all for him..."
As I look at her,
Her tears started falling across her cheeks.
I, weakly, smile at her,
And looked back.
-I walked to Heaven...
