Since the guys would be touring with us soon, we needed to go out and well, bond, get to know each other. Get used to each other. It wasn't easing touring with people you barely knew. Well, at least it wasn't for me. So, right after the meeting, the guys and I hopped in their van to go and get some ice cream, go to the park, maybe enjoy some fresh air. When we got to the park, Johnny spotted a cute puppy on the grass, bouncing around with its tongue out. He was playing frisbee with his master. I personally loved dogs and I could tell Johnny did too because his eyes lit up and with a child-like mix of joy and excitement, he instantly asked, "Can I go pet him?" I smiled and said, "Alright. But I am definitely coming with you!" He enthusiastically grabbed my hand and lead me to the dog. The owner looked up and smiled at us. "Hi. Nice day, huh?" We smiled and Johnny said, "Yup. Especially with this little guy around." He said as he squatted to pet the dog. He eagerly put his paws on Johnny's knees and wagged his tail happily. I knelt down and pet him too. "Yeah.," I looked up at his owner. "What's his name?" The owner smiled at me. "It's actually a her. Bernie's her name." I laughed, "Such a cute name for an adorable dog." Bernie was now on my knees and giving me loving, wet kisses. I laughed easily and hugged the ball of excited energy. Her owner, a guy in his 20's looked at me and said, "Look, I don't want to freak out right now, but," He paused as I got up. He smiled excitedly as well. "You're Mitchie Malta. This is huge.," I smiled at him and held out my hand and he eagerly shook it. "My name's Daniel." I smiled bigger and said, "It's so great to meet you Daniel." I couldn't help how big I was smiling. It was always this great experience to meet fans. It was still so surreal that I could have fans. I waved him off, "And don't worry, it's no big deal." He looked at me incredulous. "Are you kidding?," He started counting off on his fingers. "You're talented, you're a sweetheart," He paused, smiled and looked me in my eyes. "You're incredibly beautiful." Johnny, who had been quiet the entire time, finally cleared his throat. We looked at him, but he was staring at his feet. I turned back to Daniel, who was obviously very attractive, 6'0, sandy brown hair, with beautiful, hazel eyes. I knew he was flirting with me, and I could see Johnny was trying to protect me, but I could take care of myself. I smiled at him and said, "Thanks. Anyways, it was go great to meet you. Come see Parachute and I when we tour this summer. Well, enjoy the rest of your day with Bernie." I gave Bernie one last kiss and looped my arm around Johnny's as we walked back to the guys. Once we were out of shot, Johnny started to grumble. He scowled. "What a jerk that guy was." I sighed, "No. Just a fan." He looked at me shyly. "Does that...does that happen often?" I kept my eyes on the guys (ha, I rhymed!). "Sometimes. But it's ok, I love meeting my fans. They're very important to me. And if a few flirt, so what?," I shrugged. "I can easily dodge them." Johnny looked at me again. "But do you ever like them?...Even a little bit?" I sighed again and answered truthfully, even though I knew he would just ask even more questions. I couldn't lie to a guy like Johnny. He was almost like my best friend already. "A few catch my eye, but I never let it go farther than that." Johnny raised his eyebrows in confusion. "Why?" We got close to the guys and I used it as an excuse. "Oh, hey, look, it's the guys." I let go of Johnny's arm, smiled at the guys and said, "So, what'd we miss?"
