My alarm on my phone goes off and I groan as I roll over and shut it off. I hop out of bed and apply dry shampoo, detangling spray and brush my hair out before pulling it up into a messy bun. I pull on a grey tank top, white gym shorts and my vans. I wrap my Hotline Bling hoodie around my waist considering the breeze from the window is pretty cold and we have rehearsals today. I apply concealer, waterproof mascara and a nude lip colour. I look in the mirror and take another #OOTD and post it to Instagram with the caption:
"#ootd feeling a little bit on the dark side today! Hope to catch some of you babes at the rehearsals today, maybe💜"
I go into the kitchen and take a seat next to Ari.
"You excited for the rehearsals? What songs are gonna perform?" She asks.
"I'm very excited! A little nervous, as usual, and I'm performing All Too Well with Taylor, Emotions by Mariah Carey, your style though and also your song, Hands On Me" I say satisfied.
"I see, wanna be a bit like me aye?" Ari smirks.
"Indeed" after we finish breakfast with Ange and Jai, Ariana takes Ange and I to the venue.
*30 minutes later*
We arrive at the venue and I step out of the car and follow Ariana inside, I say hello to Gaga before I nearly drop dead from the sight before my very eyes. There's a massive stage in the middle, hundreds of lights lined along the top and bottom of it, thousands of navy blue plush seats scattered around the ground. Ariana guides me backstage and leads me to a room with a vanity table with light bulbs around the mirror, a rack of different outfits, a table with many cosmetics and hair products to use, and another with many bottles of water and food. A TV is hooked up on the wall which assume you will be able to watch the VMAs whilst getting ready, I know this because of all the behind the scenes and such videos of Taylor and Ariana and others.
"So this is the room you will be in getting ready for your performances, there's a few more around but this was designed especially for me and my girls."
"This is amazing Ari! I already feel like I'm going to perform any minute"
"Haha you're welcome bæ"
"Um sorry to interrupt but Melanie you need to rehearse and we will lead you to the spare stage designed just incase the stage is being used in which it is by Angela and Gaga, follow me please" a woman dressed in black clothes, clipboard in hand and a headset on tells me and I get up at start walking behind her.
We reach the spare stage and I instantly see Taylor and run over and hug her I grip more tightly before finally letting go.
"Alright so this is the stage we're rehearsing on but the main stage is where we're actually going to perform. And we are the opening act for the whole thing, then there will we an award for Best Music Video and Gaga and Ange will then perform, is that alright?"
"Yes! Oh my lord let's get started my adrenaline is pumping" I clap my hands and jump around.
"Haha alright" she leads me onto the stage where there's a red, almost blood like coloured piano and tells me to sit on top while she starts playing, whilst talking to me.
