Chapter 5

It's been a few day since me a Catherine's talk and she hasn't gotten any better. We just got out of school and I've tried to talk to her all day. She's just stubborn. When we get home I follow her to my room and she groans in frustration when I close the door and I lock it.

"Just forget it!" She says and her voice cracks as a few tears fall.

"I just want to help you! Give me one good reason why you won't listen." She looks at me.

"Do you really think I'm going to believe when I watched God strangle my grandma to death!" She falls to the floor and cries into her hands. I kneel down and I touch her shoulder lightly. She looks up at me then throws herself at me, squeezing me as she digs her face into my shoulder bowling her eyes out. We stand there for a few minutes and she finally says something.

"I want to believe.... But I just can't." She sobs.

"Can't or won't?" I sigh a little. "You know what just don't think about at the moment just sleep on it and come to me tomorrow and give me your answer." She nods as she starts to calm down. She pulls away a little so I'm look at her eyes. There is a small knock on the door then the door opens.

"Are you ok sissy?" Liv asks. Catherine nods and leans down picking up Liv.

"Yeah I'm fine." Liv giggles a little and wants down. When she's down she runs out of the room because my mom calls for her. I look at Catherine and she smiles as she watches.

"Your beautiful." I says felling like its the right thing to says at the time.

"What?"

"I said your beautiful... You beautiful when you smile." She blushes lightly.

"No ones ever said that to me."

"Well you are. You know why?" She shakes her head. "Because you were made in God image." She smiles again.

"Thanks that makes me feel a little better." She says looking at the ground. I look at her, she truly is beautiful and if guys think otherwise then there is something wrong with them.
