Wes Pov

'Yes of course I love you!'

"Give me a brake."

I grabbed another beer and walked off the dance floor. Everyone was awing at the 'cute couple' congratulating them and everything. Blah their a horrible couple their whole relationship is based on a lie. I took the last sip and threw the glass bottle against a rock causing it to sharer into a million pieces. I stepped onto the dock and walked to the edge. I sat down letting my feet dangle above the water. It was pitch black and the stars were shining in the water. I felt my eye lids becoming heavy and my body started to drift off into sleep when I heard someone coming.

"' Will you marry me?' Yes of course I love you! '"

It sounded like a girl trying to give the best voice impression of Drew and Taylor. I stood up in the shadows of the dock off to the side. 

The chick walked to the end tilted her head back and downed her beer. She then leaned over the dock's edge taking in heavy breaths.

"Why Drew? Why?" Tears started streaming down her face. She pulled her arm back to throw the bottle into the ocean, but I reached out and grabbed her wrist. I felt as her body tensed at my touch.

" It won't do anybody any good if you throw it." She turned to facing me with a scowl.

"You! this is all your fault their together." She ripped her wrist out of my hand just so she could slap me across the face. I stumbled a little but was able to adjust. But she wasn't finished. She came at me hitting my chest.

"You're the fucken reason for all this shit! You're the fucken reason my heart is broken, and my life is shit right now it's all your fault!"

That's when I realized it was Karen. I grabbed both her wrists this time not allowing her to move and looked her straight in the eyes.

"Karen this is nowhere close to being all my fault your the one who came onto me remember!? You're the one who fucked up your own life not me." As I talked I moved closer and closer to the edge of the dock.

"Get away from me you jerk!" She pushed off of me and the wooden beam behind her gave out. Her face turned white at the realization she was no longer safe on the dock. I watched as she tried to reach back out to me, but fell to fast. Her eyelids shut right as her back made contact with the water. Then, she disappeared under the waves.

"Karen!"

I ripped of my shirt and hat before jumping in after her. The water was freezing,and to dark to see anything. I kept having to come up for air holding on to the dock so I wouldn't drift out to sea, as the waves crashed against my chest.

"Karen!"

I took another deep breath and plunged back into the water. Looking through the water was impossible I could barely see the dock stands. I took one last look around before I caught a glimmer of something. Swimming closer to it the glimmer formed into a piece of jewelry in the sand I picked it up and swam back up to the surface. I pulled myself onto the dock and ran screaming towards the party.

"Help it's Karen!""

The music stopped playing, everyone turned to look at me, and I could see Taylor, Drew, Keaton, and Angie making their way to me.

"Just follow me she fell off the dock and I can't find her."

I sprinted with Drew close behind back to the dock were Karen had fallen.

"She fell right here." Without another thought Drew jumped in, I placed the necklace down before jumping in too.
