" Listen up, Salt number 7790, as a salt you will go under go a number of tests.... " she began. Salt continued looking up, listening for more. " You will be fusing with gems whether you like it or not. Yes, I get it, why do you get the worst task? Well, as much as we all hate it... you know there was a recent case of unnecessary case of it between a Jasper and lapis... we need to see which gems can fuse and what can't. We need to keep an extra eye out so a horrible disaster like that won't happen again.. understand?" She finished after like and hour of talking.
" I won't let you down, my diamond. " said Salt.
" Good. You may go now, Ruby, please escort her to the lab.''
Salt left, the Ruby escorting her. She knew she wouldn't like the job... but she wouldn't let White Diamond down...
