When that red light started to flicker and the sound of the alarm went off, Jade knew she had to act quickly.

But she couldn't give up, she was very well aware of that. After all, that diamond wasn't going to steal itself, and if anyone was to do it, it would be her. The dealer counted on her, her partner counted on her, but above all, she was too proud to admit that she couldn't get pass a few booby traps.

I mean, what's a few lasers and a glass roof? Nothing, well, at least for Jade.  She knew how to get around those  things quite well, to be frank. It was like a stroll through the park, in her opinion.

Normal people would usually go for a walk or a run when they feel pumped or too energised, but not her. To her a basic work out consisted of climbing a building and hanging from the ceiling of said building, with a rope tied around her waist, Mission Impossible style, attempting to steal a rare jewel from a priceless collection.

And that's exactly what she was trying to achieve right now, if it weren't for that damn heel of hers that caught one of the security lasers that was surrounding the gem.

"I knew I shouldn't have worn these boots. Damn you fashion sense!" she thought, mentally slapping herself for choosing the pair of leather knee-high boots for her expedition. Her partner had told her it wasn't practical but she was having none of that. But now that she found herself in such a mess she might've wanted to reconsider the option for next time.

Agile and skilled as a cat though, she managed to somehow grab hold of the piece she was hunting for and escape through the fire exit, all in 10 inch heels and not exposing her identity.

Although there was no need of hiding at this point; the police had already obtained their sketches through some witnesses that were interrogated on one of their last jobs. Still, she was somehow able to avoid the cameras, not showing her face, and complete the task successfully.

She smirked to herself when she was finally out of the gigantic building, hearing the distant sirens of the police that was on its way. "Another job well done" she whispered and ran towards the car that was waiting for her in the back alley of the Tower of London, with her trusted partner behind the wheel.

"What took you so long?" the man asked Jade as soon as she was on the passenger seat next to him.

"My heel caught a laser and it set off the alarm" she responded.

"Well ain't that just marvellous?" he exhaled, sarcasm lacing his tone.

"Oh, chill out Tommo" she said furrowing her brows in annoyance "nothing I couldn't take care of. Besides, I got it" she added, taking the diamond out of the bag she placed it in. The crystal jewel shone in the moonlight, reflecting its light in the blue eyes of the man.

His face lit up immediately, a slight smirk forming on his thin lips.
"Excellent" he chimed "let's get going then. And Jade?"

"Yes?" She asked.

"Don't ever call me Tommo again" he ordered, looking straight into her warm eyes and pressing the gas pedal in full speed, not even bothering to glance at the road in front of him, as they quickly drove off of the crime scene, police sirens still echoing in the background.

"They've done it again!!" The head officer of the London Police Department yelled, slamming the door of his office behind him.

"I just got a call from Nelson. The Double Decker has stroke again, this  time stealing none other that the freaking Queen's private diamond! She's going to be furious when she finds out, which, of course, she will 'cause nothing can get pass the bloody Queen, can it?!" He added.
