Sirius Black

My alarm goes off at around 3 in the morning.The rain had subsided but it was very cold.I full out a sweat shirt from my trunk.I prayed that I don't run into anyone.I could feel my heart racing.Doubt creeps up my mind.Should I trust him? I pocket my wand, just in case and go out to the coridoor.

I could smell the wet mud.I dig my hands deep into my pocket and walk silently down the hall.I walk past the Great Hall and down to the lake.My eyes were burning, for some reason.I was going to meet Sirius.Am I doing the right thing?

I creep up to the beech tree on the very edge of the lake.No one was around.I stand against it and wait.This place was where Sirius and I would spend time with eachother.I loved spending time with him when no one else was there because he was popular among the girls and a lot of them fancied him.A bunch of jelous girls would against me.I'm not kidding but that's just how good he looked.We would often skip dinner to hang out with eachother.Nothing inappropriate would happen, of course.We'd just talk and have fun.

It was around four fifteen when I heard something.I clutched my wand tightly.It was errie.A huge, black, familiar dog appeared infront of me.Its grey eyes look at me.For a second, I tense and expect him to attack but I then knelt down to hug the dog and it licked me, multiple times.
'Sirius,'I said.The dog lifted its head to look at me.I smiled and then the tears start coming.He licked my tears and tugged at my sweater.He wanted me to follow him.

I follow him as he leads me past Hagrid's house and into the Forbidden Forest.I followed him.He seemed harmless to me.After about twenty minutes of walking into the forest, he stops.He looks back at me and shifts back into him human form.I hug him tightly and didn't let him go until minutes later.Nothing mattered to me anymore.Sirius came to me.

He looked dark, tired and thinner than ever.His hair in tangles and his eyes gaunt.He looked older than he should.His grey eyes, still managed to smile at me, the way they did twelve years ago.I felt a wave of relief because a part of me was scared of him.

"How've you been?"he asked me as he cupped my cheek.

"Sirius,"I said."You didn't-"
He didn't let me complete.

"Twelve years,"he said."I've been punished for something I didn't do."
He gripped my hand tight and said,"You believe me don't you?"

"Of course I do,"I said."Do you know what really happened?"

"Peter Pettigrew,"he gritted his teeth."He's somewhere in the castle.He is the one who sold James and Lily to Voldemort."

"You were their Secret Keeper, weren't you, Sirius?"

"Yes,"he agreed."But I changed it as I knew that Voldemort was coming for us and I knew that we'd have to go into hiding.I can't risk losing you.I asked James to make Peter their Secret Keeper and no one else knew about it.The dirty coward cut his finger and transofrmed into a rat.I was framed."

This was all a little hard to believe.How can Peter be alive? And how did Sirius know all this?

"This doesn't explain how you broke out of Azkaban or how you know about Peter's whereabouts."

"I am an unregistered animagi,"he said."When I was in Azkaban, Fudge came in one day and gave me a copy of the Prophet he was reading.the front page had a picture of a family and a boy was holding a mouse.When I looked at it closely, I found the mice's finger missing.I also read the article.It said that the boy was a student at Hogwarts.Finding out about Peter gave me hope.It kept me alive.I shifted into my animal form and when the Dementors brought me lunch one day, I slipped past them.They could hardly even sense my presence as I was an animal.I've been on the run ever since."

I listened to his story speechlessly.He pulled me closer.I knew that this meeting is coming to an end and I wouldn't see him in a long time.

"I've missed you, "he said and for the first time that evening smiled."You look tired."

I smiled at that.He was the one who looked tired.

"I always thought you were innocent, Sirius,"I said.

"I know,"he said."That's exactly why I came for you.Now, have you met Harry? "

"Yes,"I said."He looks like James but except for his eyes, Lily's eyes."

Sirius' smile faded at the thought of James and Lily.

"It is my fault,"he said."I shoul've never asked them to make Peter the secret keeper."

"Sirius, I believe if it was James in your position, he would've done everything he could to protect Lily and he also would've been grateful to you for keeping me safe.I'm his only sister."

I run my hands through his tangled hair and I kiss him on his forehead.

"I never stopped loving you for a second, these twelve years,"I said.

He looked at me and said,"You'll never lose me again,"

There was a trace of the sun in the corner of the sky.The sky turned pink.

"I love you,"said Sirius,"I'll be here in the castle grounds and we'll meet again."He promised.

He shifts back into a dog and leads me back to the lake from where I walk silently into the castle.It was six in the morning.

I run into Remus as he comes out of my room.

"Where've you been?"he asked.He looked worried.

"I couldn't sleep,"I said."I was down by the lake."

"Okay, just don't wander off alone,"he said."I have been waiting for more than an hour."

"I'm not a kid anymore, Remus,"I said and I walk into my room."I really just couldn't sleep."

"I know but you could've run into a dementor or even worse, Black,"

I shrug indifferently.

"I'll see you at breakfast,"I said as Remus left the room.

I hope he wasn't suspicious.Remus is smart enough to suspect something.

Early update and I don't think I'll update very often from now on.You see, I've got important, life-changing exams to take up but I promise, I'll be much regular from March 21st onwards.All The Love- A♥
