diamonds around my neck
layers of make up to show I care
but to be honest, if I had a choice
I'd rather wear wildflowers in my hair
diamonds come from pressure
wearing them brings more than ever
but flowers are so raw, a floral treasure
they thrive especially in rainy weather
so now today as I prepare
for the next step of a life so rare
I choose not diamonds but petals to spare for I was the girl who wore wildflowers in her hair
