June's POV:
It was a cold winter day. It was about seven thirty in the morning and I was trying to get ready for school. It was not going well so far. I had my clothes on but, makeup still yet to be done. I thought that today was going to be a better more easy day but so far, I was wrong. To explain further, yesterday was a terrible long day at school. I couldn't wait to get home. But, of course it's morning again. So back to the old routine of getting ready or, should I say the struggle of getting ready. About twenty minutes later I was done getting ready. Then I went downstairs for breakfast. I grabbed a bottle of water and decided that was good enough and walked into the living room. It was a mess thanks to my no good brother, Blake. He was a drunken mess at all hours of the day.
"Hey Juneee." Blake slurred. I rolled my eyes and decided that I didn't want to deal with this today and walked out the door on my way to school. I pulled out my phone and texted my mom that I was going to school because, she was still at work from last night's shift. Her working at a hospital and all is really cool to see but, I just wished that she was home more. Sadly I don't get to see her very often. Usually more just on important days or the occasional day off.
"On my way to school!" ~June <3 x
I texted her and sighed putting my phone away knowing that she wouldn't answer until I got home from school and then I would text her I was home and she wouldn't answer until I went to bed. It was the same old drill everyday. One day this will get better I thought but, for now I will focus on school and doing good. I'm in the 11th grade and it is pretty stressful. I have lots of reports to write, tests to take, and SATS coming up very soon. In fact I think those are in a few months. The SATS are extremely important for me to take. They help to determine what college's that I can get into based on what scores I get. As I was thinking about the SATS and how stressful it is going to be something broke my thought.
A boy.
He was a skinny kind of tall boy. About 5'10 if I had to guess. He had thick dark hair and was wearing black and red shoes with jeans and a batman t-shirt. He looked kind of like a nerd almost. He also looked like I had seen him somewhere before but, I couldn't figure out where. Maybe when I was in town a few days ago? Or last summer at a beach? Who knows. I carried on with my walk to school pushing the mysterious boy out of my mind for now.
A few minutes later I was at school. I went straight to my locker passing random people in the hallway. My school was pretty much just like any school I suppose. Couple walking the halls kissing, friends laughing, and of course the popular people and the jocks. Yep. My school was definitely not anything special. I got to my locker and unlocked it with the number code.
Locker number: 325
Code: 4-18-25
I grabbed what I needed and headed off the the lunch room tables to meet my friends, Ellie and Charlie. Ellie had short purple and blue hair and always wore her black converse with black eyeliner. She was curvy, about 5'6 and tan. Charlie on the other hand was very skinny and pale. She had long blonde hair that I would kill for. She always wore preppy clothes. Anything light colored as well. She was about 5'4.
"Hey Ellie and Charlie." I smiled at them. They smiled back and said hi as well. "How's your guys physiology project going?" I asked. "Well it's going..." Ellie laughed. "We still have lots of work to do on it! We don't even know what it is going to be on Ellie!" Charlie yelled, clearly frustrated with her. "Okay. I'm not going to take that personally because you are clearly on your period." Ellie giggled. Charlie turned a light shade of pink and went back to writing ideas for their project in her notebook. "Well what do you guys think would be a good idea to do it on?" I asked. "Well I think it should be about love!" Charlie beamed.
Love? Why love?
"Why love?" I questioned her. "Well I think love is beautiful! It would be such a easy thing to do a project on too!" She said. "How so?" Ellie wondered aloud. Which I was glad that she asked that because I was actually wondering the same thing. "Well, if you must know!" Charlie started. "Love is so much more then sex or getting spoiled. Love is being with the person throughout everything no matter what. I was thinking if we find two people who seem to really love each other then we could sort of base this project off of them! But, the only problem is finding people who really love each other." She finished. I smiled. What she had said was truly breathtaking. Maybe they could do a project like she suggested. It sounds like fun. I'm kicking myself that I didn't take this class. "That sounds sweet. We should do that." Ellie said. "It's not due until the end of the trimester anyways. We have plenty of time. Lets do it!" Ellie agreed. "Yay! Thanks guys!" Charlie cheered and ran off to class.
I said a goodbye to Ellie and I to decided that it was time for myself to get going to class. My first hour was recently switched from band to Health/Parenting. I couldn't stand the band teacher. She was a cruel person so I chose to switch out.
I walked into class and I was about ten minutes early so I chose a seat in the back so I wouldn't be seen by maybe people. A few minutes went by and a strange quiet boy came in the room. It was me and him in the room alone. He looked at me and came over. "Could I sit here?" He asked. I nodded.
Then, I looked at him and I suddenly noticed where he was from. It was the boy on the street I saw this morning when I was walking to school that I thought I recognized from somewhere. I sat back in my seat and thought to myself.
This was going to be a long hour.
