Elle' s POV

I had packed everything I could in boxes and as I looked around my room I breathed a sigh of relief as I realised I was finally leaving everything I hated behind and creating a new life in Birmingham. My room looked empty with only a mattress on the floor and boxes piled high ready for the removal men to come and pick it up.

I had told my friends that I was leaving but none of them seemed that bothered by it. They pretended to be upset in order not to hurt my feelings but I could see straight through them. None of them really cared about me and it was obvious that I wasn't good enough for them.

Taking one last look at my room I picked up the photo frame which lay on top of one of the many boxes and headed downstairs. The picture was of me, Joe and Ed when we were younger, we were all pulling weird poses for the camera and you could see dad laughing at us in the background. I loved this photo, purely because it reminded me of the care free childhood which I used to have.

I jumped into the car with my dad, fishing my iPod out of my back pocket and plugging my headphones in. My mum was staying at home until the removal men came and then she would bring the other car with her when they were gone. Birmingham was only an hour away from where I lived but it was going to be a huge change, I was so used to living in the middle of a big city and now I was moving to the outskirts of a city. It may not seem like much but when I looked at the house, I could see that there wasn't much civilisation surrounding it. Next door was a huge farmhouse with a massive garden. I asked my dad if it was actually a farm but he had just told me that it was a normal house but a family lived there.

After an hour of sitting in the car and listening to various artists, we finally arrived. The area was even more beautiful than I thought at first. As I looked around I spotted the large farm house, 2 boys were playing frisbee in the garden, one looked around my age and the other slightly older.

"Are you ready to meet Con then Elle?" My dad said putting his arm over my shoulders. He was considerably taller than me but I was quite short for my age, making anyone look tall when they stood next to each me. I merely nodded, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about meeting him, I was excited but very nervous at the same time.

Dad lead me inside the cottage which I would be living in for the next couple of months, it was painted white with a thatched roof. Roses were climbing up the walls either side of the door, framing it perfectly. We walked straight in not bothering to knock which I found a bit odd but dad seemed completely comfortable here.

A small woman on her late 30's came through the door we were facing. "Oh hello! It's lovely to see you again!" She squealed pulling both me and dad into a tight hug before letting go and shouting towards the stairs "Connor, your dad and sister are here, come down and say hello."

I heard a groan from the top of the stairs and a few minutes later a boy with blue eyes and dark blonde hair which pointed in all directions appeared. He wasn't much than me and he had a strong build. I smiled at him and waved slightly but he pulled me into a hug.

"It's nice to finally meet my baby sister!" He exclaimed grinning broadly and pulling away.

"Hey, I'm not that much younger than you" I said playfully hitting his arm. We both laughed, I was relieved, Connor seemed lovely and I was sure we were going to get on well.

"The majority of my friends are older than me though, it's nice to know someone who's younger" he grinned, I couldn't work out whether he ever stopped smiling or if he was just super happy.

"I'm Ann, Connor's mum" the woman introduced herself. She was very pretty and had the same colour hair as Connor but other than that she looked nothing like him. Surprisingly Connor had inherited all of my dad's features just like me. This meant we looked quite similar!
