Looking out the window at the ground it was all a green and brown blur. I will admit the mountains looked incredible as we sped past them. I loved the feeling of flying the way you leave the ground and enter a whole new kind of world. A world where the laws of gravity didn't apply. At least for a little while. "Isn't this just incredible! The view is amazing!" I said only realizing that nobody was listening. Micheal and Abigal had all of there attention focused on there phones.
"Attention all passengers. We will be going through some turbulence. Everyone remain calm. " Said the flight attendant. "What the heck is turbulence?" Asked Micheal. " "Turbulence is irregular wind currents in the sky." Abigal lectured. "And that means?" Micheal said in a mocking tone. "Let me dumb it down to your level pee brain." After hearing enough I decided I might need to put an end to this before the begaining of our vacation is ruined. "Knock it off you two I have heard enough we need to be getting along. Now Micheal it will make the plane rock a little bit. Okay?" Fine the grumbled in unison.
The plane begaining to rise up slowly. It looked like we were going to fly right into a wall of clouds. There has always been this little dream of mine to jump and walk on the clouds, but school shattered that dream a long time ago. I still thought it would be cool to fly through them. As soon as we entered the clouds we were high enough that we emerged above them.
Suddenly the turbulence hit us. A lot harder than I expected. The plane shuttered and dropped a little bit. The flight attendants were assuring us this is normal and we are all fine. The plane dropped again suddenly and Micheal let out a very girly scream making me and Abigal bust up laughing. "What. That wasn't me." Micheal said acting confused. But he was blushing a lot.
Then to everyone's surprise the plane started free falling from the sky. I zoned out. I couldn't hear anything but the faint screams of passengers. The hazard lights were on. The oxygen masked came down from the ceiling. My whole life flashed before my eyes. Seconds felt like minutes. I couldn't take in everything that was happening. Looking outside I saw smoke coming from the plane. It was on fire. I didn't know what to do besides close my eyes, and say goodbye as the plane fell from the sky. The last thing I remember was my mothers words as we left. "Be strong and safe. Look out for your friends. I love you!"
Those words burned into my soul. I wished I gave here one last hug. Told her how much she meant to me and how much I loved her. Knowing I may never get that chance again. I had to live for her sake. I have to do everything in my power. I thought about every moment we had together. The good and the bad times we shared with each other. Remembering my favorite. I was suddenly reliving that moment in my head. I remembered every little detail. The cold night air. The aching in my heart that just wouldn't leave. It was the night of my first break up. I was in such a slump I never thought I would get out of it.
I was sitting on my shed staring at the stars. Thinking about her. She wouldn't leave my mind. She was my everything, but now she is gone. I was freezing but didn't realize it at the time. It didn't matter though. No amount of pain could make me forget about the arrow through my heart. I didn't even get a reason why! That's all I needed. I might not even be her if she didn't show up and save me. Since that day my mom has been my hero. She listened to my whole story then explained how one sided we are about life. She told me that I need to look at the positive of this trial. Now I can be lead to an even better person. I would soon learn what she ment. Suddenly as the memory came I was snapped back into real life. Remembering I was going to die I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath.
