Chapter19: Noah the Sweetheart 

Chloe's Pov

Just as Noah was getting out of the car, Blake and Vincent showed up. They got out of his car and started walking towards us.

I got out of the car, getting ready for what was coming.

"What the hell Steele! Why did you take her and leave us like that?" Blake yelled, shoving Noah in the chest.

"Chill, I just did that because you two had your minds somewhere else and she needed to get out of there. I knew you guys would get out just fine."

"Well don't do that again, I'm very capable of taking care of things."

"Don't act like that. I was just trying to help."

When Blake got closer to Noah, I stepped in between them, putting my hand on Blake's chest facing him.

"Don't be mad at him Blake. He was just keeping me safe."

He was looking me in the eyes as he stepped back and went inside his house. Vincent went in after he did.

"Thanks, for that." Noah said smiling.

"No problem. I just don't like seeing you guys fight each other."

"Are you coming inside?" He asked me.

"I'm gonna go home and take a shower. I feel like crap after tonight."

"Are you coming back when your done?"

"I don't know."

"Stay another night with us. You keep us from killing each other, as you just proved. It's no fun without you."

"Ok fine. No need to beg. I actually like hanging out with you guys."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

"You should." I started to walk away. "I'll be back in about an hour, try to survive until then."

"Oh I'll manage."

I smiled as I walked away. 

When I unlocked the door, I stepped into darkness. I turned one of the lights on so I could see going up the stairs.

Mom wasn't here, as usual on a Saturday night. I kind of got use to coming home to a dark and quiet house, but sometimes it sucks.

I think I'm starting to like being at Blake's house more than my own. I think I feel safer over there too. I open my bedroom door, instantly taking off my jacket and shoes.
