A beam of light shines down on your face, after a few seconds your face instinctively scrunches up and you pull your blanket over your face. A soft nudge to your side wakes you up, you open your eyes to see a large lump under the covers next to you, you lift the covers to find your Raichu,poppy, sprawled out, her foot nudging your side, you sigh and get out of bed. She continued cooking and after a few handed you a plate of 2 pancakes and a egg. "Thanks mom" You finished up, cleaned your plate, and headed back upstairs to get ready for your trip, you've been studying the weather for a full month now and today was the day a large storm was coming through and you had a special feeling that the legendary sea bird Lugia would take shelter in the cave far from the coast. After about an hour of walking you two finally make it to the beach, there wasn't too many people there, not enough to crowd the beach, but still a good amount, you stop at the changing stall while Poppy stands guard, when you're finished you set down a towel for you and her and lay down on the beach. The sun feels so nice on your skin you cant help but sigh in happiness, Poppy is building a sand castle next you. A few hours pass, and it starts to get cold, you open your eyes to see dark clouds looming over, "Hey Poppy, you think we should check the cave?" She shakes her head, as if telling you to wait, you stand up and tell her you're going to get changed, she just nods and goes back to building her already huge sandcastle. When you come back you have a coat and pants on, the storm is getting worse, the clouds are getting more and more dark. *KABOOM* suddenly thunder sounded right above you, you instinctively covered you head, even if it was just thunder, soon after it started pouring rain, huge drops of water soak your coat in a matter of seconds. You patted her head and smiled, ¨were almost there, just a little farther.¨ As you got closer the sound seemed to get louder then just stop, it was like it got tired and went to sleep, Marina sounded that we had made it to land, you stepped off and held out your arms to catch Poppy, she jumped and you cought her. ¨Thank you Marina, you did great, I'll get you healed when Im done exploring.¨ she smiled and went back into her ball. ¨lets go¨ You walked to the entrance and stopped, it was dark, really dark, you looked back and storm was still strong, ¨I hope mom isnt too worried about me¨ you turned back around and started to go in the cave, you kept your hand against the side of the wall, feeling along, you didn't want Poppy to use flash in case in scared off whatever was in here. Suddenly you felt the wall drop away, a faint light coming from the top of the cave, you could barely make out the large figure resting under it, the light cast a sort of glow onto it. You turned back to Poppy, ¨I need you to go into your ball okay?¨ she looked at you like you were crazy and nodded in disapproval ¨raichuuu¨ she pouted and crossed her arms, ¨c'mon pops, it'll only be for a little while, I'll be fine, I promise.¨ she seemed to give a little and went back to her ball, suddenly from behind you two glowing eyes appeared, you gasped and quickly turned around, murmuring under your breath ¨L-Lugia¨ the large shadowed figure moved closer, illuminating your whole body, it spoke in a loud deep voice ¨why have you come to my shelter human?¨ you thought about your answer for a moment, deciding to tell him you were looking for him, ¨My pokemon and I were looking for shelter from the storm, it was too rough for my Lapras to swim through.¨ It nodded and sighed ¨Well, I guess that is alright, but you must leave in the morning, you may stay here in my nest with me.¨ He turned and walked back to the nest under the hole in the roof of the cave, it dripped slightly from the rain, you climbed into it and immediately felt warmth, but also struggled to see in the dark, causing you to stumble over your feet.
