Tell Me

Take me to the corners of your mind, where your fears and dreams lay softly, so that I may discover them.

Where the wind carries the whispers of your words, painting perfection before me. Tell me that your heart lies in the shadows of places you have yet to roam, tell me that I can come too, and we can be content in the delicate simplicity of life.

Tell me that it is our intials etched into the crinkled brown paper of your books, that the sparkle in your eye is for me. Tell me that it is my name that echos in your mind late at night, that is is tucked away, in a niche just for me.

Take me to that place of nostalgia when you first saw me, the way you felt, so you may understand how I feel every day. Take me to the fields on a summer day, where the flowers will sway, holding my love for you.

Tell me that this is poetry and I will deny it because such a lovely, infinite being could not be captured in 26 letters.
