Gold Coin

Lee and Eve Roan were twins, they just moved into a town called Astrea. Astrea is a moderate sized town located in the mountains and has a quaint atmosphere much like Aspen, Colorado. This quaint town is best known for their annual Summer Festival. Astrea has all sorts of old artifacts lying about just waiting to be found.

The house Lee and Eve moved too was a moderately sized house, it looked like something from a fairytale but in very poor condition. Their parents told them it needed to fixed up but they didn't think much of it.

Lee and Eve stepped onto the enormous, neatly trimmed yard of their new house. Lee's wavy dull blonde hair blew in the wind. Even though Lee and Eve were twins they didn't look much alike, Lee had a fair complexion and Eve had an olive complexion, Lee had wavy hair and Eve had straight hair, Lee was a bit thin and Eve was an average weight but they were both very tall and had similar coloured eyes, green and hazel.

Lee wasn't very worried about making friends as he had his sister and two of his close cousin went to their new school, though he was worried about high school presentations as he had a speech impediment and found it hard speaking in front of many people.

Eve decided she wasn't going to try to make friends and try and stay by her brother and cousins. Her biggest fear was getting hurt by people as she was very emotionally fragile. She is a very gentle girl. She knew her brother wasn't going to have a hard time making friends because he was a very perky person and usually has no problem making friends. Eve would rather stay home and play video games by herself than have to make friends.

Lee and Eve both grabbed a box of their stuff and went to choose their room in their new house, the inside of the house was coloured with all kinds of bright colours they walked up the stairs into to their new bedroom, the two bedrooms that were right next to each other. They both put some posters up on their door and went inside their rooms to get used to the new house and relax.

Their rooms were both decorated with stuff they loved. Lee's room was music themed, he had brick walls, grey bedsheets, records, headphones, books, posters from his favourite video games, movies and tv shows, pictures of his sister and him, pictures of his friends and him and of course, a computer. He also had a laptop for schoolwork and listening to music.

Eve's room was pastel green with a soft white carpet, she had fairy lights hung over her bed and walls, posters from her favourite video games, movies and tv shows, pictures of her favourite youtubers and singers, polaroid pictures of Lee and her and art she's done covered her walls. She has a tv and a computer in her room to play video games on and huge bookshelf filled with books.

While they were both scrolling through Tumblr on their phones their parents told them to go and explore the town. Lee put on his black sweater with a picture of the moon on it and Eve put on her blue Studio Ghibli sweater. They both left headed towards the forest path that led down the steep hill they lived on, as they were walking Eve spotted something in the corner of her eye and ran towards it, Lee followed her into the dimly lit forest. She dug up the shiny object, it was golden and shaped like a coin.

"Is...is this ancient gold coin" muttered Eve

"I think it is!" exclaimed Lee excitedly thinking about how much its worth.

They ran back room and put in a dresser in Eve's room and headed back outside before their parents noticed that they came back home. They ran down the path once again to the downtown area to explore. While they were downtown they felt people staring at them and whispering, it was quite strange and unusual but they just ignored it. Until one girl walked up to them and asked them if they lived in the house a man was recently murdered in. Lee and Eve didn't know how to respond as they just moved in and just hearing this news. They tried to distract themselves and forget about but they couldn't get it of their minds. Who was this man? Why did he get killed? What happened to him? What happened to murderer?

When they went back home that night is was dark and the the moon had just came up.
