Alright. I have decided, and today is the day. Today is the day that I, Karla Camila Cabello, tell the love of my life the truth. The truth being, that ever since I met her back in the first grade, me being an exchange student and her the kindest seven year-old I'd ever met, I have been completely and utterly in love with her. Today is the day that I tell my best friend, Lauren Michelle Jauregui, that I love her. I'd like to type more, but my mom is going to be dragging me out of the house if I'm not down stairs in the next five minutes. So, bye for now!

I close my laptop and let out a deep breath I hadn't realized I was holding in. Ever since my parents gifted me with my ever so lovely lap-top, I have been keeping an electronic journal. So basically I write down all my dramatic, dorky and sappy thoughts and try to convince myself I'm completely normal.
So far, it's worked... Kind of.
You see, the main subject is usually my best friend and next-door neighbour, Lauren, as I mentioned earlier. And writing about how obsessed with your female best friend on your computer isn't necessarily the most normal person thing to do in the world.
But whatever, right?
I shoot a quick text to Lauren as a back-up just in case I loose the guts to talk to her privately today.
To: My Lolo :) : Hey Lo, I have something I need to tell you, can we talk sometime today? It's pretty serious...
Before I can even worry about my text, my phone buzzes signaling Lauren has texted back.
From: My Lolo :) : Of course! I'm never too busy for my Camz :) I hope everything is alright, we'll talk ASAP! See you soon :P
I blush at the phrase, 'my Camz' but type a quick, 'See you soon :)' back when my Mom's voice calls from downstairs,"Mija, what are you doing up there? If you don't leave in the next few minutes you'll be late for school! Prisa!"
Shoot! I'm not even dressed yet!
I quickly throw on a pair of black leggings, one of Lauren's shirts that she always manages to leave in my room-and by, 'leave in my room' I really mean I ask her to lend them to me with full-on puppy dog eyes-and a light grey sweater to top it all off.
And, I even manage to tame my hair into a pretty decent messy bun!
Running down the stairs, I grab an apple, water bottle, and my keys.
"Have a good day, Kaki!" exclaims my little sister, jumping up to give me hug which I reciprocate somewhat carefully considering my hands are full.
"Bye Mom, love you!" I shout exiting the house and hopping into the car.
Checking the time I find that it is 7:19, and seeing that it's a twenty minute drive to school, and classes start at 7:45, I'm relieved that I won't be late.
Pulling out of the driveway, I can't get the nerves out of my system, I mean, after all, I'm confessing my love to my best friend today.
But before I can worry myself to death, some asshole rockets out of the previously non-owned home across the street from mine at way too fast of a speed and I have to slam on the breaks to prevent a car-wrecking collision. Huffing in frustration, I take in the sight of the new home-owner's car. The vehicle is a jet-black 2015 Mustang Forza 5 with a double red stripe across the sides, and it practically screams pompous douchebag. Then, without a warning, the car speeds off at a rate that probably left a mark on the pavement.
