The next day the first concert in Rio took place in the City of rock an open air venue that housed 90000 people. It had been a brilliant concert, followed by a second one on the same stage the next day. Danny had told me he still couldn't believe that so many had bought so many tickets just to see them. The 180 000 tickets had been sold out in just over three hours, the fans had been eager to have them in South America, they hadn't visited here.
The stress on me, wanting to make sure everything was arranged the right way. But the trust the lads had shown me, even Mark was enough to convince myself I'd be alright, hopefully.
We had another free day, before we'd head up north to the amazon region for another two concerts there. But today we had a day off. I'd gotten a call from my friends back in Belgium and I had decided to tell them I was the tour manager off The Script. They didn't believe me they said, there was one rotting apple in our little bunch, one that had always been able to manipulate. At one point she'd been my best friend, but I realised the she was a poisonous friend. Wanting things to be done her way, she demanded support in everything she did, but if you wanted the same things, that was impossible.
Although we all knew better, they still let them be manipulated every single time and I was more then sick of it. I'd definitely have a talking to her. The only reason she still belonged in that group was because her boyfriend was a saint, he always managed to convince us to give her another chance, not me. I was always fighting with her, not wanting to lose my four other friends in the group.
I had gone to the roof, looking over the city. Having been close friends with all my teachers back in secondary school, I still had a close bond with most of them, they followed my travels all the time, demanding I'd post more and more pictures of the places I'd visit. I had done just that, taken a pic of the view, the sun glistering of the water and posted it, both on Twitter and Facebook.
I was clearing my mind up there. I didn't get to see my friends much as it already was and I was so tired that when I heard them or saw them, I'd fight with the person who meant nothing to me.
I heard a shuffling behind, but didn't bother to look behind me. "What's wrong, Liz?" I heard the voice of Danny say, another thing that was on my mind. I had never gotten close to men or guys, but here all those reasons as to why disappeared and for the first time I felt truly comfortable and safe with men, but most of all with Danny, I knew there was a chemistry between the two of us, but I was working for him, we couldn't start anything.
"My friends." I said. He started asking questions and I explained exactly what the problem was. In the end he confirmed the idea I had, that she was a rotten apple, sickening my friends mind with what she wanted, ignoring the rest. That wasn't a friend, but a egoistic bitch. Not my words, his. I'd explained my close bonds with the teachers, about some of my time at school, the heavy bullying, the reason why I didn't want to lose my friends now.
"you know what." He stated, he walked over to the bar tender in that was busy in the bar asked him something before they both walked to us. "Post this on Twitter and Facebook, they'll believe you then." He stated, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and resting his head on mine.
"I could just be taking a picture, you could be so kind to take one with a fan." I reasoned, the things she'd argue with my friend. "well. We'll just have to include you in a lot more stuff, then. Lots of people are getting interested in you. let's take pictures on festivals. I was bullied as well and I like to rub it in their faces now. And say 'how you like me now.'" He said in the tone he used when he always did that.
"you'd do that?" I asked him. "Of course love. I like you a lot, you've been helping us in any way you possibly can, it's time we return the favour. We'll include you on our periscope's, the fans are curious to see the women we're always talking about anyway, always asking us questions, let's do that. Mark already suggested something similar." He said.
