The fortunes:

If you're feeling down, try throwing yourself into your work.

God can heal a broken heart, but he has to have all the pieces

Say hello to others. You will have a happier day.

----

Hours and hours

Of incomprehensible lectures;

My ears are beginning to fall off.

Who knew my deepest source

Of relaxation

Would become

My deepest regret?

There she stands,

Waiting against campus walls.

No trace of the unique

Day-dreamimg smile.

At reflex

My arm raises above my head

To warn me

You'll never be seen

If you wish not to appear.

Another fellow crosses our paths

Tangling between the knots of faith

That were meant for our reunion.

Unnoticed.

Untouched.

Not found.

She walks

Clinging onto a larger arm.

I sit

Not bothering to fix

A broken organ

Standing at my feet.

The only movement made

Is to stand

And fling those pieces

Into the garbage.

After that,

I'm led to another lecture

To keep my mind

Off the missing parts.
