"CARMEN LET'S GO"
My mom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I let out a huge groan and uncovers my fave from my warm blanket to look at the time. "4am?". My family and I were moving to NY from Connecticut and we had to get there early to get settled into our new house just outside the city, I was super excited. "I gotta finish packing a little more I'll be right down". I threw on my NYC sweat shirt, I know such a tourist, and my L. L. Bean slippers and began to pack the rest of my stuff.
It took me about a half an hour. I called my dad to help bring the rest of my bags down because, the type of girl I am, I had a LOT of bags. I was the last one out of the house. Before I closed the door, I looked back into my empty childhood house and held back all of my tears, "I'll miss you so much" I whispered to myself. I closed the door and was startled by my dad beeping the horn and my little sister yelling "LETS GO CARMEN". I jumped into the car and we were off.
I had already said all my goodbyes to my best friends yesterday, I told them I'd come back to visit as soon as possible and very often. I got all of my tears out for them yesterday, Kyle, Alex, Zoie, Alyssa, Owen, and if miss Ben the most, we dated last year when we were sophomores but broke up just before junior year started, many reasons, but we continued to be best friends because we were so close. I realized I was staring blankly out the window looking all sad like one of those cheesy sad movies and immediately stopped because they were so corny. I giggled a little when I realized it. I was skipping through the songs on my phone and an old One Direction song came on "Midnight Memories" and it was one of my favorites. I fell asleep half way through though because, like, it was 5am. Before I knew it, I woke up and we were here. I stepped out of the car and took in the sight of our beautiful new house. We unloaded the car and picked out our rooms. I got a big room with two doors leading out to my own little balcony, it was amazing. I also had my own bathroom, living the dream right now lol. We had to wait for the moving vans to get here with our furniture so my mom took my little sister and I for a drive around town. It had to be the most beautiful town I've ever seen, it was cute and clean. We got froyo and went to a local park. We walked around for what seemed like forever but it was only like 2 hours so we drove back to the house and the vans had already put our stuff in the house. We all unpacked and went out for dinner because by this time it was like 5pm, plus it was spring time so I had school tomorrow, it's Sunday night, sadly. We ended up eating at some amazing hibachi restaurant with great service. My family spent time together talking about how our lives will be now. We got home around 7:30 and we all sat down in our gigantic living room and watched a movie, my little sister had the pick and she's 5 so we ended up watching Tangled, which I'm not gonna lie is my favorite Disney movie. The movie was over and I wanted a good nights sleep for my first day of my new school. I picked out the cutest outfit I had: my adidas superstars, high-waisted shorts with studs on the pockets, and a cute maroon crop top. After that I went to sleep, ready for tomorrow.
