"Oh, here we have the pretty, little Blackwood. Got lost in the hallway did we?" a girl named Millicent laughed as I entered through the charmed door in the wall. Beside her was Pansy Parkinson and a few other girls I didn't know the name of. I wouldn't bother learning them either. I only strode past them and the other slytherins, heading for the girls dormitory. From downstairs I heard the girls and some of the boys too, laugh and say things like coward or snob. I ignored them. My plans at making friends ended the moment I met the girl in the library.

I looked for my luggage and own cage and saw them placed beside a bed at the corner of the room, furthest from the door. Well, looking at the bright side, I would at least get some privacy. I quickly got changed into a black silk gown before the other girls came, and went for the bathroom to brush my teeth and remove my makeup. When I came out, none of the girls were in sight. Probably shagging some boys as the slutherins they were. I almost laughed at my own joke. Have you sunken that low Odette, really?

I shook my head and sighed. Then I opened my trunks and took out my outfit for tomorrow: a white shirt, grey skirt, my Slytherin cloak, greens stockings and a pair of black heels. As I sat myself at the bed, I looked through my schedule for tomorrow: First period was Transfiguration, second came potions, third charms, then herbology and astonomy, and last Defense Against the Dark Arts, or D.A.D.A. as many would call it. I put it in my rucksack together with the books for each subject, quill, parchment and my Slytherin scarf, just in case I decided to go for a walk. When I heard the girls coming up the stairs, I quickly shut my curtains around the bed and fell into the pillows. "Tomorrow is going to be interesting," I thought and turned to blow out the candle on my nightstand.

The next morning I woke up early, not wanting to be late for my first class. I hurried into the bathroom and closed the door. None of the other girls had woken up yet, so I decided to take my time and start with a shower. It was quite refreshing actually. The warm water seemed to flush all of my nerves away, but this ended the moment I stepped out. I got dressed in my slytherin uniform and did my makeup. At last I combed my hair and sprayed some hair spray into it to keep the fiery red bush in it's place.

Once I was satisfied with my appearance, I walked quietly out to the bedroom again, grabbed my rucksack and wand, before walking down the stairs to the common room. There was only a single person there. He was lounging in the green sofa in front of the fireplace, reading a book. His blonde hair shining like a halo around his head in the light of the burning fireplace. I walked as softly as I could over to the armchair to the left of him and picked up my own book. He barely noticed me as I seated myself, and I just ignored him. That was before I realized his extremely familiar face. He seemed to think the same as we asked in unison: "Do I know you?". His eyes, aswell as mine, widened and I looked down in embarrassment. I was just silent, not knowing what to answer. After some seconds he spoke again: "Now, are you going to say something or just sit there like a fool?". I met his challenging gaze and I straightened myself up. "Um, I.. Well, I think I have seen you before. What is your name if I may ask?" I questioned dumbly. He snorted. "Draco Malfoy, obviously".

And with that it clicked.

It was if everything fell in place, the puzzel pieces in my head fit together perfectly. I knew I had seen him before, but that was a long, long time ago. He had been the one to trip me at Kings cross station, but more importantly; he was my bestfriend since childhood. We used to play while our parents were at these balls or meetings. We hadn't played together or met since we were eight or nine. When our families ended up in some conflict and lost contact, we had too, against our will. I had been devastated, but now as I sat only a few meters away from him, and looked at him, for the first time in years, I felt relief. Something that had been very uncommon recently.
