Just Like Everyone Else

"Cancer 100% cured." I heard the monotone voice of the robot speak to me. I was laying in what looked like a tanning bed, but was much more different than one of those. It was a machine that cleaned the cancer out of you entirely, and you never had it again. Cancer was like the chicken pox-you had it once and you never had it again. Cancer was the only sickness you could get. Our bodies were immune to disease.

My name is Zada Renee Cole and I am disease free...or so I thought.

---5 months later---

"Sybil, my hair's falling out!" I wailed and held my head between my hands, as if that would stop it from falling out.

"It happens to everyone, just wait until all your hair falls out so that you can have a wig!" Sybil used to have a vibrant red that made you smile when you saw it. But now, she was just like everyone else..the same blonde/brown color that made me want to throw up. Everyone was the same!

Everyone got cancer at one point, some old -- some young. And when you were released as cancer free, you started to lose your hair. Everyone seemed to die around the same age. You didn't live that long.

And I knew there was something wrong with this.

Sorry for the short chapter! I hope you guys like this. (As in myself...I bet I won't get any reads.) :)

Enjoy Zada's adventure. (By the way her name is pronounced Zay-da if you didn't know, and Sybil's name is pronounced Sih-Bull)
