Chapter 2

I woke up next morning to the sun peeking through my window shining all over the room like it was permanently painted there. The scent of eggs filled the air, which was unusual because someone only bakes when something great or something that I knew was coming happened and it's not so great. So I went down stairs and saw my sister baking breakfast. She turns and says."Hey sweetie we were waiting for you, we have great news!" She said her dimples popping out as her boyfriend looks and rolls his eyes. So I nod waiting for her to tell me. "Should I tell her or you." She says bitting her lip. He nods looking at her telling her "nah you can I hate her". My sister looks at me and walks to me grabbing onto my shoulders saying. "Me and Bruce are getting married!" She says and hugs me. My eyes went wide but then I thought why would I be surprised they're both hoes. But still wide- eyed and slightly shocked not knowing what to do or say I go upstairs and get into a normal day outfit and walk outside slamming the door.

     I started to cry. I don't know why but I do. Sometimes you just have to even though those feelings that are processing through your body aren't going to your head. Then I hear a familiar Australian voice saying. "Slow down or we all fall!" I turn to see the boy that was on the plane named Calum. I giggle. "Hey, your Calum right?" I say he blushes and says. "Ya aren't you the girl we saw on the plane?" He ask. I nod and laugh at all the dogs barking and licking his leg and sniffing him. "So what's up with the dogs?" I ask. He gets red and says. "I work as a dog walker." I try not to laugh and grab a few leashes and say. "You need help?" He nods as we walk around my block. Then he ask. "So what brings you out here?" I look down and say. "Well my sister and her hoe boyfriend are getting married so I'm not very excited." He frowns and then looks up like he just figured out how king tut died. "I have an idea!, let's go eat at maccas I'm really hungry!" He says begging. I was confused at the word "maccas" and frowned. "What's maccas?" I ask confused. He laughs and says. "I forgot you don't come from here but "maccas" is McDonald's in Australia." He uses quotations with his fingers on the word "maccas". I nod as we go. I order a happy meal of 8 chickens nuggets with small fries and a medium Coke and Calum orders the same thing but gets a Sprite.

   After talking and playing in the playground we sit back down and laugh because the employee at McDonald's had to kick us out of the playground because Calum got stuck in the slide. Then Calum's phone all of a sudden repeatedly buzzes signaling that someone was either texting or calling him he looks and remembers something with his eyes wide. "I forgot there was band practice today!" He says very fast. "You play in a band?" I ask. He nods and rushes out grabbing my hand. " where are we going?!" I ask, he stops and turns around and laughs. "Sorry I forgot would you like to come?" He ask, I nod and we begin running again.

   We finally stop at a house panting as Calum rings the door bell. A older woman opens the door she had blonde hair. "Hello Calum are you here for band practice." She says nicely. "Hey Liz this is our friend Mia, and yes thank you may we come in?" He says panting between words. She nods as we enter to see two boys on a couch playing I'm guessing Fifa because I see a soccer ball being kicked around by animated men. I clear my throat as they both turn around. I see Michaels eyes go wide as he throws the remote and stands up. "MIA!" He screams and runs to me as he hugs me tight and I do too. "Hi Michael!" I say giggling. "I can't believe your here!" He says still surprised. "Well I saw Calum and he needed help so yeah." I say. I see Luke in the back wave a little as I wave back. We weren't really friends. Not as much as me Calum and Michael. So I sit down and I ask. "So are you guys gonna give me a performance or what?" I ask as they laugh and sit in front of me. Luke takes out a sheet. "So this is about a girl that I really like." He says while blushing. "Luke has been none stop talking about his new girlfriend named Aleisha and I don't really like her but Luke does.. ALOT." Says Michael . "Anyway, excuse them Mia this song is called too late." Luke says concentrating on the notes on the paper and his guitar.

I listened with every note and every lyric with every strum they sounded like angels. As soon as you now the song was over. I was out of words. They looked worried. "So did you like it?" Luke says worried. "Ya, how can you now that was beautiful I think she'll love it." I said they looked relieved. We then ordered pizza. "I have an idea." I say. They all pay attention waiting for me to say it. "As a welcome to Australia we should prank call people." I say they all smirk and I jump and grab Michaels phone. "Can I pick for you to prank call." He laughs and nods. I picked out a girl named "crazy ex bitch" on his phone. I show it to him and his eyes go wide. "I dare you to pretend your sober and call her for nudes." I say cover my mouth and laugh as the rest laugh too. He just laughing wide eyed and gets the phone and presses the call button. After the third ring she answered. "Hello Michael?" She says and we all try not to laugh. Michael finally get a breath and says. "Heyyyy babbby." He says as I grab a pillow from the couch and laugh into it. "What do you want Michael." She says sounding annoyed. "Babbby I miss yo titttties." He says as I laugh silently onto Calum. "Michael go away." She say as he says. "Send me naughty pictures you know you want too." He says and someone's phone goes off. We look to Luke as he attacks his phone and runs outside. But the person one the phone didn't notice. " YOU KNOW WHAT MICHAEL I HATE YOUR DUMB TATTO!" She says and ends the call. We all laugh and when I finally catch my breath I say. "That sound like a lyric she'll use in a break up song that will go viral (ha ha see what I did there ok sorry continue reading.)

  After doing prank calls I  tell them it was getting late and we all had school tomorrow,and figured out we all are going to the same school so at least I have friends. I get back home and ignore my sister and Bruce and go to my room take a shower and change into my pjs and climb into my bed and slowly fall asleep.
