While indigo led a curious King richard up the spiraling stair case of the tower the dragon had wrapped itself around, Luka led an uninterested, very exhausted, rather bitchy, social repose to his room on the third level of the magnificent palace made of what was explained to be dragon metal by Luka concidering indigo refused to speak Social Repose any more. Luka had told him everything he was supposed to tell the prince but didn't much like the silence that hung between the two boys. Luka decided to take matters into his own hands and talk to the unresponsive child behind him.
"So are you good at dancing?" Luka questioned remembering his sister's princess training. Indigo used to have to learn a new dance everyday and complete it correctly by the end or she must stay there all night do spins and learn the dance correctly. That only happened once and Luka supposed that was the work of the fairys that charmed her veil, they must have enchanted her shoes to know how to dance perfectly.
"Yes quite. I am known as the best dancer in my kingdom." Social Repose answered shortly hoping they would reach their destination soon.
"Ah well you may give indigo a run for her money then. As long as she doesn't kill you before the ball. You shouldn't make comments on things you don't understand you know." Luka said referencing the moment thqt if indigo had no self control would have ended in bloodshed.
"I must agree with you on that one." said social repose with a hotty tone. Neither party knew just what the name of each meant to one another and to their land as well.
The pair reached the end of a hall and stopped. Luka pushed on the door handle and opened the room that would belong to the prince for the next month or so.
Social Repose walked into the room and before luka could follow or make another sound he slammed the door shut and used the never before used lock to make sure he wouldn't be disturbed by any inhibitor of this strange land.
Luka, crossed, made his way towards the stairwell that led to the kings chambers when indigo ran right into him on her way up.
"Oops sorry you should watch where you're going." teased the liitle brother.
"And you should hold your tongue as it will one day be removed for your tough head and smart wit." indigo teased taking her brothers arm.
He was only taller than her by an inch and today she was wearing her velvet black flats. That would change by the time the ball began tonight.
The ball.
Indigo groaned in pain at the mere thought of dancing with this conseided ass.
"Ah are we talking about our distinguished guests of honor?" asked zine as he bounded up the stairs coming back from pretending to be training in the fields.
"Speaking of no. Speaking to yes. Did you know he doesn't just look like an ass and treats woman that way but also has a talent for slamming doors in peoples faces?" Luka said and the other two giggled
"Oh come now he can't be that aweful. But then again I don't have to dance with him." Zine said with a smile
Indigo groaned once again. "I swear mothers stare only gets stronger with her illness. I would have declined had it not been for her look." Indigo said as her brothers and she walked down the corridor.
"Mother does seem to become more shall i say demanding after that run in with the poision." Zine agreed.
"Perhaps our guest Social Repose could have a run in with rose poison." luka said in a joking matter.
"We should not joke about such matters." after a pause indigo smiled and continued "no matter how much we wish they were true." the three laughed.
"He bragged that he was the best dancer in his land." luka said and Zine snorted.
"He is about to meet his mach with indigo and her enchanted shoes." the boys laughed
"How many times must i tell you both they are not enchanted. Just have a spark of magic." indigo defended herself.
"What does the magic do?" Luka raised his eye brow
"Makes it so i don't fall." she mumbled.
"Which in turn does what?" asked zine making fun of his sister.
"Makes me a better a dancer but its notjnot justust dancing it's walking too. I am a klutz in nature." Indigo said quickly.
The two boys laughed. "Those fae do sure spoil you." said Zine in a teasing voice.
"Yet you choose to wear black still." Luka sighed towards his sister.
"You know very well why i can't wear colors Luka. I have told you my mission more than once." indigo said seriously as she sat down on a bench in the childrens corridor.
They had only a mere five minutes before lillac, Indigo's chamber maid, would appear to get the princess prepared for this evening.
"What ever you say dear sister but have tou ever thought peehaps meraids only come to those with bright colors on?" luka asked generally wondering if his sister owned another color besides black.
Just as indigo was about to respond the door that was made from dragon scale opened to reveal a short girl with greyish blue hair and pointed ears. Lillac. She was a fairy because the only human who would understand her was indigo so any gossip about what the princess looked like without the veil was sgushed by the fact that most fae and enchanted creatures already knew.
"Miss it is time to begin with your readying for the ball tonight." lillac said and the two boys only heard the jiggling of bells.
"Coming." Indigo said and excused herself from the boys.
The two brothers said their good byes as the eldest walked through a door of wood and the youngest walked through the door made of marble.
The four royal children soon took part in getting ready for the ball they didn't really wish to take part in but did any way for their parents pleasure.
After an hour Zine stood in front of the Mirror in his room straightening the sword on his belt in full armor, he was to wear the uniform of the army. Feeling pleased with how he looked he stepped out and made his way to the ball room.
A few moments later Luka stood infront of his mirror straightening his shash showing he was in fact part of the royal family. Shrugging at his reflection having given up on his hair he left his room and followed his brother down the hall.
In another part of the castle Social Repose pulled on his war head dress and fixed it from falling off in the mirror he sighed in boredom and left the room walking down the corridor to find the ball room.
A little while later lillac finally pulled the blackened lace down over Indigo's face and then her features disappeared as the magic set in blackening out her face and neck and hair leaving the only part of the lace veil to show any part of regular lace was over her dress covered body. Indigo getting the good to go from lillac stepped into the hall and walked down the hall to the stair to get to the ball room the only noise made was the clicking of heels on metal floors.
