I wake up to sirens going off and cars beeping away. This is a common thing
of course since I live in New York.My mom comes into my room,
"Andrea, I told you to be ready for school 5 minutes ago!" She rolls her eyes as I start to complain. "Mom, I need rest. The doctor said that if I don't get enough sleep then i'd be sleep deprived, which will make me stressed, then angry, and we all know that I have anger issues and I shouldn't be angry",
I said.
"You can't have that excuse for everything, Andrea." She says exhaustingly. "Come on, it's Tuesday. Taco Tuesday! I'll treat you out to your favorite place to eat tonight if you are willing to get your butt off that bed"
She says."Fine" I said as I got up and put on my glasses. " I hate Tuesdays."
"But you love taco Tuesdays" my mom says.
"That's true" I rub my eyes and walk out of the room.
------------------
I walked into my first class quickly to get everything ready and get a back row seat before anyone else. I hate to sit in the front.
"Hello Andrea" Mrs. Harris greets me as I organize my things and start to work on some homework that is due today.
"You didn't finish your homework, did you?" She asks.
"Nope, but I corrected the last paper I got a C on. Here you go" I said as I hand her the paper and go back to working on my homework.
"Yep, that's all correct. A+" she says as she scans through all the questions I got wrong. I hate getting A's on everything cause people always say that I'm a teachers pet so that's why. I look out the window at a beautiful sunrise hitting a tree.
"What's wrong, Andrea?" Mrs. Harris asks me.
"Oh nothing. You can call me Andy though, Mrs. Harris. That's what I'm usually called." I say as I finish up my work. There's no response. "Mrs. Harris?" I lift up my head and see that's she's gone. Was it something I said? I start to question myself but then I just go back to working on the homework.
The Bell ring and nobody is in class.
"Where the heck is everybody?" I get up from my desk and walk out of the room. Nobody is out there. It's not a Saturday, or a no school day. I spot Mrs. Harris finally.
" Mrs. Harris! Where is everybody" I ask
"Andrea? What are you doing here?"
She asks."Well there is supposed to be school today. Nobody is here except me and you." I say.
"Go home." She says in a angry tone.
I look at her confused and as I was about to open my mouth, she screamed. "Andrea! What did I tell you? I TOLD YOU TO GO HOME!"I run away and fast. Mrs. Harris never screams, And I do mean NEVER.
---------------------------
"I'm home!" My mom says happily as she walks in with groceries." So, how was school?"
"I didn't have it today." I say.
" You didn't? That's strange, was it a PIR day?" She asks.
"No, nobody was at school. I went to pre-algebra and Mrs. Harris corrected my corrected assignment that was a C. Then while I was working on my homework, she left. I went to see where everybody went as the bell rang but nobody showed up."
"Huh, well did you eventually find Mrs. Harris?" She asks.
"Yep. But she screamed at me to leave. So I ran home." My house isn't very far from the school.
"Mrs. Harris never screams. Well at least you're home safe. Let's get some tacos." My mother says as we leave.
