(Just a disclaimer that I'm terrible at the beginning of writing :) but I promise it gets better)
Nothing appealed to Bella more right now than her usual midnight snack- which consisted of her walking into all the furniture, while blasting her music in her ears.
She headed down to the kitchen, occasionally blurting out random song lyrics from five seconds of summer. She grabbed herself a bowl and poured the biggest bowl of lucky charms she could.
It was a long night of studying- and she deserved it. She found it best to study at night- when her four brothers were quieter and knew to leave her alone.
She turned around and started heading up the stairs, when she heard the crashing of glass behind her.
"Shit" she heard a male voice say.
Being the clumsy person she was- she took one step backwards and fell all the way down the stairs. Causing her glorious bowl to fall with her. She'd never gain back the magically delicious taste that just fell to its death.
Bella grabbed the closest object she could find to protect herself from the burglar. This object just so happened to be a dictionary.
She tip-toed closer to the spot where she heard the noise.
"I-is anyone there?" She stuttered. The darkness of the night had always calmed her, especially when it was so quiet she could hear the crickets outside. But now, she was scared.
There was a Vague shadow of a tall, muscular male figure in the moonlight coming in from the window, this caused Bella to gasp.
"Calm down, princess" the boy snickered as he stepped out of the shadow- revealing the boy she had dreaded the most. Her next store neighbor- Parker .
"What the fudge are you doing in my house! Where you going to steal something? W-wait were you going to kill us?" She ranted at him- her hands going in all different directions as she spoke.
"Calm down, I was just going to play a prank on your brothers. Wasn't planning on going anywhere near you- especially since I can see you are fully armed..." He laughed and directed his eyes towards the dictionary.
"You idiot!!" She screeched, "maybe I wouldn't have to take out a fudging dictionary, ya know, if you didn't break into my house?" She was freaking out, but all he could do was smirk and stare at her appearance.
Her shirt hung loose over her body, her Long black hair covering most of it. She had black shorts on, that randomly had Santa on them.
"I guess Santa is all over that booty" he laughed.
"You know what! I may just hit you with this dictionary!!!" She threatened.
"Oh angel, we all know you need that to complete whatever nerd fest you're having upstairs. Besides, it won't hurt me." He smiled, but it wasn't a genuine smile. It was more of the -I'm trying to make you feel like a fool- smile.
"Words can hurt,Parker . You'll see one day." She left him with that, a confused look on his face as she grabbed the empty bowl on the stairs and popped a few marshmallows into her mouth off the stairs.
She didn't know it yet- but Parker was a burglar. He had already stole her heart.
