Song for the chapter: Wait by M83

Veronica

"I'll shoot you a text later." I said to Moose who was looking at me suspiciously. I knew that he knew I was only making up excuses... but good ol' Moose Texon decided it's better to leave it at that. I deeply love this guy so much.

"Yeah," he smirked at me, "You got some explaining to do. I'll see you soon." He kissed my cheek and waved as he made his way to catch the next bus. I watched him go and I turned my heel to walk inside the house.

I saw Michael and Ashton having a conversation, I decided not to intrude yet so I made my way around the house. As I step my sneakers-covered toes against the grass, hearing the grazing sound as stride step-by-step, I found myself looking over average-sized pool with one of the best views I've ever seen in Chicago.

There was a series of trees, outlooking the view of a bridge with a sun that's probably going to set in about an hour or two. The skies were tinted with the glow of orange and there are some city lights that are flickering, some are already lit--mostly the skyscrapers and cafes-- and there are also some vehicles that emit different shades of white, yellow, blue, pink and green neons. I felt an uncertain sensation of warmth wrap around me. As I dig my tiny hands inside my jean pockets, I felt like I was being burrito-wrapped inside a cocoon of warm honey and nothing could beat the feeling. I closed my eyes and sighed, I realized I was here for a plenty amount of time now-- plenty enough that I am seeing the sunset now.

"I see you've seen the backyard." A voice I knew all too well spoke behind me, I turned around and faced the adoring red-haired boy with his a size too big jean jacket occupying his arms.

"Yeah," I smiled, "It's quite a sight."

"I think that's what lead me and Ash into investing on this house..." Michael rubbed the nape of his neck as he made slow steps to me. He stopped when he was right beside me and faced the view. "It wasn't about how it's built or it's architectural design, but it was this."

He gestured to the landscape, the picture-perfect landscape.

Man, I wish I had my camera right now.

"Oh and uh, here." I saw a Polaroid camera in his porcelain hands. It was like the vintage version of Polaroids and I smiled as I looked at his face.

I studied his face, memorizing each line, realizing how beautiful was he. He had the drop of his fringe cover the latter part of his eyebrow and his eyes were reflecting the dripping hue of the sunset, making it look like a little bit of a soft yellow-orange. His lips were curved perfectly, and they were plump like a cherry, his skin was like milk--white and delicate as ever. He was a definition of a beautiful creature and he isn't as close to thinking likewise.

I took the Polaroid from his hands and grinned gratifyingly. I faced the view, taking a step or two backwards, making sure that Michael was in the picture.

"I need your silhouette." I said and he looked at me with questioning eyes. I snapped the camera at the angle that he was looking at me, and the rest of the scenery was also taken.

I smiled as I saw the result after a few seconds, I made my way to Michael and showed him the shot, "Amazing." I muttered.

"It is... I mean, the dawn." He gazed over me and he bit his lip innocently.

"Well," I interjected my arm around his torso, facing the scene afterwards. "I meant both."
