Louis

I woke up from a restless sleep, my mind wondered all night and I only got a few hours of shut eye. I heard someone groan next to me and I turned to see Eleanor, her hair was a mess, it tangled all together, make-up from the previous night was smudged all across her face.

"Louis, I need orange juice and tylenol," She whispered, placing her hand to her head. I lay still for a little, not exactly wanting to get up, "Lou... did you hear me?" She asked, once again in a whisper. I exhale deeply,

"Yeah," I began,  "I'll go to the cafeteria and get some orange juice. I'll check with the lobbyist  on the tylenol," I replied, getting out of bed and pulling on a shirt. I changed into some jeans and left the room quietly, not trying to shut the door to loud. I was suddenly really happy that I didn't drink much last night, it felt nice waking up without a pounding headache or the constant urge to vomit.

My first stop actually was to go to Harry and Katie's room, I thought all night long about Katie, and I couldn't wait any longer to talk to her. I tapped on the door quietly, no answer. I knocked a little louder but still, no answer. I figured that they where both asleep so  I would get the stuff for Eleanor first, then check up on Katie later. I waited for the elevator to open and when it did, someone ran straight into me.

"Sorry," We both muttered, I looked over and saw Katie, her hair was wild in her natural brunette curls, she had on a simple pair of jeans, and a pink sweater, there wasn't a trace of make-up on her face; she looked more beautiful than ever.

"Oh, hey," She said smiling, I starred at her eyes, her hazel eyes with specks of blue that I never seemed to notice before. I found myself lost of words. "This is for Harry, he has a massive hang over," She said, showing me the tylenol in her hand. I looked at her, wondering if she remembered our kiss from last night, was she drunk also? "Well I guess I'll... see you around," She said awkwardly, and I realized I haven't been replying to her,

"Wait," I said as she started walking down the hall, "Can we talk?" I ask. She nods her head as if expecting the question,

"Let me go give these to Harry first. I'll meet you in the lobby, we can go get some breakfast." She said, heading back to her room. I rode the elevator down, and waited patiently in the lobby. Katie soon arrived and we walked to the nearest cafe in silence. The snow was falling softly and the pavement was quite slippery.

We entered the cafe and were soon seated and ordered our food.

"I like your hair natural, by the way." I blurted, trying to break the silence. She smiled, her nose and cheeks slightly pink from the outside weather.

"Yeah? I couldn't sleep at all last night..." she squinted her eyes and took a deep breath before continuing, "I took a long hot shower this morning and didn't feel like doing anything to it today," She said, running a hand through her curls. The more we talked, the more I felt as if she were building some type of wall between us, like she was watching every word she spoke; when she used to have no filter, and said anything that came to her mind.

"Katie, we need to talk about last night." I finally said. She glanced around the cafe', suddenly becoming uncomfortable. "Katie..." I whispered, she whipped her head around and looked me into the eyes,

"Let's just forget about it." She said, her words catching me off guard. She wanted to forget about it? I didn't want to forget about it, I loved the kiss, I loved every thing about it; I couldn't forget.

"You... you didn't feel anything?" I asked, stuttering slightly, remembering the tingling sensation in my lips, the warmth I felt. She raised her hand and lightly touched her lips with the tips of her fingers. She closed her eyes, and when she opened them, I thought she was going to start crying,

"I- I didn't feel anything Louis... It was just a kiss." She said hesitantly, her voice shaky. She brought her hand back down to the table and strummed her fingers. Her words hit me hard, and I felt a stinging pain in my chest. She had to have felt what I did.

"Not even the slightest-" I started,

"Damn Louis, didn't you just hear what I said?" She spoke loud, a few people looked at us, but she kept her eyes on me, "Can we please just forget it Lou, please?" She pleaded. I placed my face in my hands and propped my elbows on the table. I rubbed my eyes, frustrated.

"Yeah." I said, a little irritated with her sudden out-bursts. She relaxed in her seat,

"Good. I just want everything... to go back to normal." She muttered. I nodded my head slowly, pushing Katie and I's kiss to the back of my mind. If Katie wanted to forget about something that could have evolved into something great, then I would too.

The rest of lunch went by, and to say the least, it was awkward. We walked back to the hotel in silence once again, and I wondered if things really could go back to normal with Katie. We went our separate ways, and when I walked into my room, Eleanor was furious. She was up and yelling at me, when just a few hours ago she could barely talk without holding her head in agony. She said she had gotten the tylenol herself since I took so long. She was even more mad when she found out that I had went out with Katie. She insisted that I never talk or speak to Katie again, and that ended up making me furious. It seemed as if everything was falling apart, and when all of us went to the airport, ready to return home, I realized how much of a disaster Paris turned out to be. The only highlight of this trip, kissing Katie.
