Falling for Him (A Sebastian Stan Fanfic)

Painting in Colors

Currently I was sitting in the back of Sebastian's car with Chris. Sebastian was driving. He insisted that since we were tied, I shot them but they caught me, that we move to a new location. However, instead of talking and messing around like before it was dead silent. I kinda think they're trying to stay in "character" for this battle but it started to become a boring car ride. I'm going to break them out of it right now.

"Hey Sebastian would you mind turning the radio on?"

Chris looked at me and mouthed 'good idea' while trying not to talk out loud.

"Yeah sure."

As Sebastian was talking Chris started to mock him, but being as Chris was sitting behind Sebastian, he had no idea what was happening. I tried so hard to contain my laugh but I couldn't.

"Whats so funny?" Sebastian said as he looked into the rear-view mirror.

I looked up and met his eyes.

"Oh nothing!" I said in between laughs "I just love this song!"

Now Sebastian was laughing as well.

"Kate I didn't even turn the radio on!

"Yeah Kate what's the matter with you?" Chris said as he continued to mock Sebastian.

"Are you kidding me Chris? Haha you're the matter! Don't try to suck up to the driver! Besides, you're the first avenger remember?"

Chris pondered that, over-dramatically for a moment before answering.

"Good point! Onward Bucky! I must  bring this young lady to jail!"

At this point everyone was laughing, and I was nearly screaming at Chris.

"What?! Jail!? You both know fair and square that I won that battle! But I'll give it to you for being good actors and actually keeping up the charade that you won."

Sebastian took a sharp right turn that caused Chris to fall into me and me falling into the passenger door. I yanked my purse closer to my body so when Chris got up he wouldn't see my secret weapon. While Chris was getting up Sebastian put the car in park and got out. Me and Chris just sat there looking at each other for a moment before we got out too.

"I just put together all the pieces." Sebastian mumbled as me and Chris watched him stare at the ground and talk. He lifted his gaze so he looked at both of us before speaking.

"Chris my dear friend we've been played. It's probably in your best interest to come stand by me and not Kate."

Before Chris could move I pulled out my second nerf gun and held it to his back, while I latched my arm around his neck. Sadly though, I'm not that tall, and Chris ended up a little hunched over since I was holding his neck.

"What in the heck is happening right now?" Chris said without moving a muscle.

"Ah-Ha!" Sebastian cried. "I knew there was a reason it was so easy for us to get you! You planned this the whole time you little trickster!"

Chris turned his head slightly signalling that he was about to talk to me.

"I'm forever calling you Loki now."

I got closer to him before saying "Eh I'll take it."

I started walking, with Chris still in my grip, over to Sebastian.

"Give me your car keys and no one gets hurt!"

He just smiled at me.

"You know Kate, this was actually pretty fun! But I think you've forgotten who you're holding."

And just like that Chris turned around and knocked the gun out of my hands and pulled me into the tightest hug I've ever had.

While Sebastian went to grab the gun Chris said something to me.

"Honestly Kate, you're a lot cooler than I though you'd be. I'm happy Seb hit your car."

That made me super happy. I didn't feel so alone in this state anymore. Me and Chris exchanged a smile before Sebastian came back over to  us.

"Tables have turned huh?" He said before giving me a smirk that fell into a laugh.

It was a few hours later and we just stopped at a Taco-Bell to eat. I ended up losing the battle, but it was so worth the fun. I never would have thought the man who hit my car would turn out to be a good friend. Or Bucky Barnes.

We were on our way out of Taco-Bell when I happened to look up and see a giant billboard for the company Helix. The company I just so happen to be working at. And there it was. Well he was. His name was Trent, he was the only model I worked on yesterday. But that's not why I was so excited to see the billboard, it was because of what he was wearing. It was the suit I had painted. It actually looked real. I felt a sense of pride and seeing something I did actually being praised for once. I thought about how much work I did yesterday, and couldn't help but smile.

*FlashBack*

"Hello Ms. Newman? I'm Ms. Hendrix, welcome to your first day!"

I looked at the nice woman in front of me as we walked to the studio I would be working in today.

"Thank You! Will I start painting today?"

"You will in fact! We apologize of this but one of our magazines has decided to move the shoot weeks ahead of time. We'll need one of our models done and ready for photos by the end of today."

I could feel my face go a little pale and the heat drain from my cheeks. Hell I was nervous. That was a huge task, not to mention I had never done it before. But I took a breathe and kept my cool.

"No problem!" I said to her with a smile "Just fill me in on the details!"

*End of FlashBack*

Trent was very nice too. Didn't even hit on me once, which I didn't expect to happen anyways. I'm surprised I wasn't really attracted to him, I mean he was gorgeous. Actually, I haven't really been attracted to anyone lately..

Sebastian broke me out of my thoughts when he looked up and saw the billboard too, and asked me why I was staring so intently.

"Damn Kate it's just a man." Chris said before chucking and taking a sip of his Baja-Blast.

"That's not why I'm looking you freak." I shot back before laughing. "That's my model!"

"What?" Sebastian said while turning his head slightly. The way dogs do when their confused. It was pretty cute. Wait cute? Either way..

"I got hired at Helix. You know the modeling agency?"

"That's for men...?" Chris inquired.

"Well yeah!" I started "I'm clearly not a model there, I mean seeing as I am lacking in a few parts. I'm an artistic make-up artist. Don't get me wrong, it's a totally different job than I expected. Seeing as I normally work on Syfy, but I'm the one who painted that suit on him. I was staring at it because it looks more realistic than I thought it did!"

Both men dropped their jaws and stared at me for a second before collecting themselves again.

"That's incredible Kate!" Sebastian said while giving me a high five.

"It is!" Chris said before turning to us and smirking "So did you paint ALL of him?"

Oh boy! Should have seen a question like that coming....
