⠀⠀"And he's done it again! The Cerulean Demon has defeated the Machamp Choker!"

⠀⠀"Tch. It's such a petty name. And this cage is too small for these underground fights." The large dragon stood, victorious, over the unconscious Machamp. He'd been an okay foe, but to the drake, it still wasn't worth his time in this arena.

⠀⠀"Cerulean Demon," the announcer, an extremely nosy Arbok asked, "could you tell the audience how you singlehandedly defeated the Machamp Choker?"

⠀⠀"Shut up," the dragon spat. "And pay up. These little fights aren't getting to be worth the stash you pay me. Besides, you should know anyways."

⠀⠀"Well well, no need to be feisty," the Arbok said with a sly grin. He grabbed a sack with 30¥ and handed it to the dragon. "Of course we know. You're a Mega Charizard X, after all. We just like to be reminded by the legend himself."

⠀⠀"Pleasure doing business with you," the Charizard said with a sneer. He spread his wings and flapped as the ceiling opened up for him. "Hasta la vista," he said, flying up and out of the arena.

⠀⠀"Don't let him quit," a deep voice growled. "He's the pride and joy of this fight club, but I've heard rumors of him saying he may quit. If we lose him, we lose customers. If we lose customers—"

⠀⠀"We lose money. We lose money, you lose your business. That happens, we lose our heads. I hear ya, Boss," the Arbok finished, trying his best not to add sass at the end.

⠀⠀"Good boy, Fang," the voice said in a menacing purr. "Next, I'll teach you to sit when told, just like an obedient Lilipup. Now gather your forces and follow him. I want his every secret. Does he have friends, family? A loved one? I need all the leverage I can get."

⠀⠀"You got it, Boss."

⠀⠀As the Arbok slithered away, a large Ursarang came out of the shadows. "You'll never leave this arena, Demon. You're mine. And I'll even kill to keep you."

⠀⠀The Charizard landed in the cover of the forest. Blue flames enveloped him, and when they were gone, a teen stood in place of the dragon. In Gijinka form, as many Pokémon called it, the Pokémon could easily blend in with people. It wasn't the dragon's favorite thing to do, but it was in order to live.

⠀⠀"Hey Reikan, you off to see the people again?" A voice asked cheerfully. A young Bunnelby popped out of the ground. The bells on the ribbons on her ears jingled softly.

⠀⠀"Yes," the drake answered. This Bunnelby was one of the few Pokémon who were lucky to have learned his name: Reikan. It was Reikan Rizadon to be exact. "Don't say you want come, Fennel."

⠀⠀Fennel the Bunnelby gave a huff. "I wasn't going to ask anyways," she lied poutingly. "You know, Storm says people aren't to be trusted."

⠀⠀"I don't care what your friend says. All you ever tell me is what he tells you and how he's a good sorcerer. I don't even know what type of Pokémon he is. Magic tricks are nothing but rubbish."

⠀⠀"It's more than just magic tricks!" Fennel countered, prepared to defend her cousin. "And he's not just my friend, he's my cousin. Besides, you won't need to know what Pokémon he is after you meet him."

⠀⠀Reikan rolled his eyes. "Good bye, Fennel." He left the frowning Bunnelby and headed towards the city; it was Lumiose City to be exact.

⠀⠀"You shouldn't be so rude to friends," Fennel called after him.

⠀⠀"You aren't a friend," Reikan lied with an eye roll. "You're just an annoying acquaintance." Without looking back, he left the forest and entered the hectic world of humans.

⠀⠀All around, people scuttled off to different places. People were rushing in and out of boutiques, different restaurants, you name it.
