The Embarrassment

It had been about a month since we started dating. We were getting closer and closer to each other. He saw right through me like no one ever had before. I could see through him like fresh new glass. We just couldn't believe how much we had in common. There was no better connection or spark than ours. I finally asked him, " So...when do you think you'll make the first move." His response was the best. He said, " We will have to see when it gets here I guess." I just giggled and said, " Okay."

So, it was our one month anniversary and we decided to hang out. My grandma was driving us around. Him and I sat in the back while my grandma drove. My grandma had to go into K-Mart really quick to return something. She left him and I in the car alone. We were in a van, so there was a lot of room in the back.

As we both sat there talking I just laid my head on his shoulder. My grandma was taking for-ev-er it seemed like. After a while I laid down with my head on his leg looking up at him. He just looked down at me smiling. He then asked, " Are you comfortable, love?" He always called me love; that was just kind of his thing. I loved it so, you know, I kind of just went with it. I didn't mind the nicknames at all. He always had something cute to call me.

It went silent for a few seconds and then I broke the silence. My big mouth hates quiet, when there could be something said. What I was saying turned into rambles. All of a sudden out of nowhere he gently held my head up. I just kept on rambling on trying to ignore it. As I rambled, and rambled, and rambled, he just kept listening and looking to to my eyes.
