"Come on Rog, I wanna get back home before it's midnight."

"Why in such a rush? It's only eight."

Freddie groaned at his comment as he met his lover's hard gaze. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but his boyfriend had been so tense for the past few weeks and hadn't had much time to sit down and relax. He'd never gotten so upset with finishing an album before, though he figured it was because of that one tracks he was trying to finish up that he was more irritated than usual due to the constant switching between studios and having to make sure it was absolutely perfect, which for some reason it never was. They'd spent ages trying to finish it and he had simply refused to tell them anything about it, so they just went with any directions he had given them. At the moment, he envied both Brian and John who'd left about two hours earlier to go back to their flat while he'd been stuck there, straining his voice to hit the highest note he could muster for whatever ridiculous lyric Freddie wanted him to sing next or having to deal with his perfectionist nature as he tried to fix up any parts they had available there.

"Why rush? I'd like some type of sleep before getting back here tomorrow to finish this damned thing before it's a new decade!"

Roger headed over to him as he threw on his coat, taking notice of his boyfriend's slightly shaking hands as he struggled to zip up his own jacket. He walked out in front of him, removed his hands from the zipper, and did it for him, slowly pulling it up to where it was just barely completely closed and pausing to flash a gentle look up at him, giving a loving smile before placing a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Don't worry about it. Come on, it's only been a few weeks and we've got so much done on it in that time. Just relax." He told him, earning a scoff of incompetence at the last part of his sentence. "Look, we'll get home and you can have a nice sleep and tomorrow we'll get some more done on it."

Freddie gave the faintest of smiles as he finished his sentence, earning a similar grin from himself as the two of them headed out into the unnaturally freezing weather. It was only the end of August and the weather had been absolutely dreadful, primarily for the past three days. He was quite sure it would start snowing if it kept up like this, though all they had now was icy rain pouring down on top of the two of them as they made their way to his car. Freddie took his spot in the passenger seat while he slid into the driver's, quickly starting the car to let it heat up before they'd get going.

He glanced over to the older man, seeing a look of both exhaustion and frustration upon his face as he fought to keep a neutral expression, yet a childish pout crept up onto his face every few seconds whenever something passed through his head. He had been so stressed with finishing this song for ages and hadn't had a good night sleep for a few days along with being stressed from other aspects of his life which in turn put a strain on their relationship. Luckily, he hadn't grown too angry with him that an argument would break out, that and he himself had tried to be understanding with what he was going through at the moment, along with having some help from any leftover jasmine tea John had left over. But Freddie had been so absent, almost cold, towards him for the past two weeks. He rarely wanted to do anything affectionate, hell him placing a kiss on his cheek earlier had been about as intimate as they'd gotten in a week, the last "sex session" they'd had happened about a week into this project and even then Freddie didn't seem all that into it. It was as though he was obliged to sleep with him then because he'd wanted it, not because he held the same interest in having one that he had and all that resulted in was a pathetic ten-minute session between the two of them and Freddie falling right to sleep after finishing. To think that's what he'd been stuck with for over a month with him completely absorbed in writing this song and any others that he was going to throw onto the album.
