"Addie honey, come down here for some breakfast, your favourite!" My mom yelled from downstairs. I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. I got up from my bed, without saying a word. This was my routine every morning for the past ten years. Today was my twin brothers birthday. Unfortunately he is dead, and i havent spoken one word since he died ten years ago.

I walked lazily into the shower, I remember back when I was eight, I would sing in the shower. Sometimes I wonder how it feels to speak, I almost think I have forgotten how to. At first people tried to encourage me to talk. But after three months, they stopped. Part of me told myself to speak again. I couldn't without Ty. Ty was the best twin ever, he always helped me with my homework and played with me when I bored. We never argued or anything. I looked in my closet and threw on three different outfits before finding a descent one. I decided on a yellow sundress, a grey cardigan and grey toms. I may not talk, but I still have style! I walk down the stairs and sat down at the table. My thirteen year old sister was on her laptop. I wrote on my white board, "hi Nadine!" And tapped her bare shoulder. She turned around and smiled. Nadine was my beautiful younger sister. It was hard getting used to having someone else. She still doesn't like me not speaking. I ate my french toast quickly and walked out the door to my favourite place, the mall!

I walked into Aeropostale and saw to boys about my age arguing. One had brown hair with a quiff and the other had curly brown hair, just like Ty. My blood ran cold, he turned around and looked at me for a split second. He was Ty, just like Ty but green eyes and dimples. The boy with the quiff walked over to me and showed me a red pair of jeans and a normal denim pair.

"Excuse me." He said, "but can I ask you a question?" I nodded and he took my hand over to the curly haired boy. "He says the red and blue dont go good with my eyes, do you agree?" He asked me. I giggled, and surprised myself, I haven't laughed in a really long time. I looked at him for a while and smiled. He must have noticed because he just said "no english?" And

Walked away. I wanted to say something then. For the first time in ten years I wanted to say something. I wanted to talk to them, they seemed like they could be a good friend. He waved and I waved back and he walked out the door. I felt upset. After a while I decided just to go for some lunch at Nando's. (A/N: I know Nando's is predictable...)
