I guess I should introduce myself, my name is Matisse Jordan, yes like Matisse the famous painter but if I was as famous as the real Matisse my life would be over. Actually scratch that, it already is.
My mother left when I was ten, her last words were “I’m not letting you take me down with you!” she screamed them at my father while I hide behind my bedroom door, she grabbed her bag and ran out the door, we never saw her again.
4 years later I found what she meant.
My father was caught out and was found to be a bent cop, charged with three murders and stealing class a drugs from evidence boxes. All this equals up to eighty years in prison.
Since I had a rouge mother and a father destined to die in prison, this meant I was moving in with the Bensen’s, Maria and Preston plus their sons.
All twelve of them.
