NOTE BEFORE WE BEGIN: Calem's name is pronounced (KAY-lem) and it is NOT (KALL-uhm) LIKE THE GUY FROM THAT POP BAND.
The names were based off of Latin words. Calem is based off of the Latin word for sky (Caelum, pronounced the same) and Tara is most likely based off the Latin word for earth, which is Terra.
Enjoy!
Calem had been alive for billions of years, yet he had never seen anyone so beautiful. Her hair was a deep brown, painted with many other hues of red, orange, and other shades of brown, which framed her back and ran to her waist. It shone brighter than any star, and it was more beautiful than any phase of the moon. It was as if the leaves had fallen from every type of tree, and all of the dead leaves had joined to build something far more alive, far more beautiful.
Her eyes were a green seen only in the rarest gems, twisted and swirled together to create a hypnotic spell, a paralyzing pair of eyes which caught Calum in a trance.
She wore a dress sewn in scarlet thread, which brought out every other feature; her jaded eyes, her auburn hair. Calum wanted her, but he wasn't as beautiful, as elegant, as perfectly sculpted as she. He was so ordinary compared to Tara.
