"RAWR!!" Eren 'the mighty dragon' roared to his father.
The young German boy pounced on the couch, ready for the 'noble knight' to attack.
Grisha Jaeger, the 'dragon's' father, stood in a defense stance," Come at me with all your might, foul beast!"
"RAAAA!" Eren leaped off the sofa and tackled his opponent.
However, Grisha, being a thirty-five year old, fully grown adult man; and Eren, being a small, eight year old boy, it didn't take a second for the child to be back down on the couch- flailing against his father's tickles.
"AAAH!!" The boy screamed in laughter. "DADDY! STOP! IT TICKLES!! AHAHAHAHA!"
"Grisha."
Both Jaeger men stopped, silent, and stared up at the brunette woman with a side ponytail and big brown eyes in the doorway," Honey, what are you doing? I love you playing with your son, but, you know we have guests coming."
Eren jumped up, out of his father's advance, and ran up, wrapping his tiny arms around his mother's legs," Mommy!!"
Carla smiled down at her green-eyed, bashful son," Hi, sweetie."
Grisha groaned as he got to his feet," I know, I know, Carla, I was just working out his energy."
The young Jaeger pulled away from his mother and ran off into the other room, screaming.
"I don't think it worked."Meanwhile...
Mrs. & Mr. Arlett were driving along on the way for a play date they set up with the Jaeger, with their shy son, Armin, in the backseat.
Mr. Arlett turned to the small boy," Hey, buddy, you ready to make a new friend?"
Instead of responding, the little blonde boy with sky blue eyes hugged his plush bunny tight and buried his face in the fabric.
"You're so cute and adorable, I could eat you up, but you make it really hard to communicate with ya, sport." The father stressed.
Armin just kicked his feet and stared at the floorboard.
"Sweetheart, I know you're nervous, but you have to be polite and nice, okay? Just try, honey. That's all we ask of you." The mother looked at her meek child in the rearview mirror.
The little boy slightly pouted but nodded his head," Yes, momma."Minutes later, they pulled up in the Jaeger household's driveway. They were greeted by Carla and Grisha waving from the front porch.
The Arlett's hopped out their car and gave their hello's to their friends.
While the adults were catching up on the porch swings, Armin made his way to the backyard.
Armin was pretty small for his age. He was around eight but he was often mistaken as five or six. It didn't help he had such girly features either. He's pleaded with his mother to let him cut it but she thinks it beautiful and doesn't want him to "Butcher" his head. It was silky and golden colored and it reached the length of his shoulders. His big, baby blues scanned the big yard, taking in his surroundings.
There was a big sandbox, a cool swing set, and even a treehouse beside the clothes line. Some lucky kid has got to love it here!
And he'd learn who that lucky kid was as he heard the ruckus in the treehouse.
He walked closer to the tree just as a youthful, tanned, monkey boy was swinging from a tree branch.
Armin stared up at the kid with curiosity. He looked a lot like the Brunette lady from earlier. Before he could ponder further, the boy dropped from the branch and landed right infront of him, causing Armin to scream.
"Hi!" The tree climber hopped to his feet and greeted Armin. "You must be the Arlite kid!"
Armin didn't correct the wrong pronouncement of his name and back away.
"What's wrong?" The other boy cocked his head to the side and stepped forward. "I didn't scare you did I?" He flashed a playful, lopsided grin.
Armin expected him to punch him or something. That's what he got from the bullies at school.
The brunette sensed his uneasiness and stuck out his hand," Hi, my name's Eren! What's your name?"
The blonde was about to tuck his tail between his legs when he remembered the conversation with his parents in the car.
He had to at least try. For them.
The small boy sighed and rubbed his arm,"A-Armin..." He squeaked.
There. He tried.
He was about to high tail it away, but Eren pulled him into his chest and hugged him," Nice to meetcha! You're my new best friend!!"
Armin was taken back a bit. Who was this kid and what was wrong with him?
He pulled back gave him another bit dorky smile and took his hand," Come on! Let's play!"
Then he yanked him to the swing set.As they played, Both sets of parents had ventured to the back porch.
Grisha rested his elbow on Mr. Arlett's shoulder," Well the boys are getting along."
The man, who's hair color matched his son's, laughed," Yeah, I guess so."
The four of them watched Eren push Armin on the swing, both of them laughing like clowns.
