Story about Kailey, who loves playing MovieStarPlanet, a social game for kids age 10-15, where you can create your own moviestar charecter, buying clothes with fake money, called 'StarCoins' and stuff. But Kailey also gets to discover the dark side of the site. Before she knows, she gets in trouble with hackers. cheats, addiction to the site, and giving away personal info via chat. ....
Chapter 1: Kailey's POV
Hi, i'm Kailey. I am a girl, 13 years old and i live in a pretty big house in Seattle. I like to stay inside and go to MovieStarPlanet. It is an awesome website. I love it. I have blonde curls and green eyes.
'Kailey, get off the computer, i need it' my mom says irretated. 'NO!' i yell. 'But you have been on the computer in the livingroom for four hours!' She says. I sigh. So what? I don't care. I computer for as long as i want. 'Then go on your laptop upstairs in your room' my mom says. I walk to my room and start my laptop. I open Chrome and Google appears as my start screen. I tick in 'MovieStarPlanet.'
I click on the link of the site. Two happy MovieStarPlanet characters appear on the screen;.
'Welcome to MovieStarPlanet' they say. Next to it there is a log in field. I type in my username and password. I click on Log in and it starts to load. i come on my account. My account is a V.I.P, that means that i pay real life money to get cool extra's. Lots of people are online. Including my MSP bff, 'didi love 34000.' That is her username. I don't know her real name, we just met on this site. She is really nice and sweet. I click on the chat button. A tiny chat tab appears and i type in: 'hey.'
Didi love 34000.: Hi! ☺
PizzaLover2002 (me): How was your day at school?
didi love 34000: Boring. I got detention for sleeping during class.
PizzaLover2002: Hahaha, LOL. XD Really typical you! ;P
didi love 34000: Ikr? How was your day at school?
PizzaLover2002: neh, i didn't go. I ditched so i could go to the movie with my bf in real life.
didi love 34000: Ditching? You? That doesn't sound like u ;O
I sigh. How she mean, it doesn't sound like me?? Uhm, she doesn't know me in real life. So she better shut the hell up. 'Fuck off' i type. But then a MovieStarPlanet warning appears on my screen. Oh, shit! I forgot that you're not allowed to cuss on this site. I ignore the blah blah and click on 'Yes, i will follow the rules.' I look at my fame bar. I still need lots of fame to reach level 15. I look at my fame magazine. No news. I click on The Diamond Shop. Hey, fame booster. I could use it right now. Costs 5 diamonds. I look at my diamonds amount. Damn, i only got one diamond left. Now i have to wait until i can buy VIP again. I type a new status update. 'Everyone, please watch my new shortmovies!The one with the sweetests comment gets a wishlist gift :D xxx' and sent.
I go to the VIP chatroom. Other VIPs randomly walk around and say nothing.
'Heeeeeeeey' i type. 'Shut up' someone says to me. 'Hahaha, no. Screw you :P' i type.
'I block you' he answers. 'I don't care, i love it :D' i answer. I look with a smiling face at the screen and laugh at that loser. I start to sing 'I love it' by Icona Pop. I feel happy.
