Hello fellow readers. If you are reading this story that means that i have been rescued and tell of my tale on the uninhabited island. Here is my story of my life on an island out in the Atlantic Ocean.
Well let me start off by saying that my name is Alex I was 33 years old when I got stranded out on the ocean. You are probably wondering how I got on the island, well i was working for a shipping company and i had to deliver a package overseas to Hawaii when the plane's engine failed after takeoff. I was halfway to Hawaii when the plane dropped out of the air. I was especially lucky when I crashed, there was an island nearby so I had to swim to the island. When I arrived to the island it was about 12:00 at night so i had to find shelter for the night. I ended up finding a cave that would shelter me from the rainy night.
When morning came the island water was so beautiful. I walked around the island to see if there was any signs of any human life, food sources, water, and resources to build a house. So at around three I found a lake. So my next priority was to be able to chop down the trees for a spear for fishing. I found no signs of human life which was pretty upsetting, so I decided to try to break some small trees for a shelter to shield myself from the harsh conditions on the island like the rain, wind, and the annoying insects like the gnats that inhabit the humid island.
It took me about a couple of hours to chop down some of the trees. I ended up making a not so good spear with some leftover twigs to make a door to the cave that I spent the night before. Later that day I started looking to find some water and food. I tried to recall what berries were good for human consumption because I ended up finding some blue-berries on a bush. I took a chance and ate some. They were the best berries that i have ever eaten, but I knew that if i ate too much it wouldn't last me long. So by the next day i started on my quest to make a sign that anyone, someone could see passing overhead. I ended up for the next two days making a S.O.S sign that can be seen.
So one day later I made some minor improvements to my cave. And after a long time with no friends I made my own friend named Aaron. Aaron and I have had so much fun we ended up going on explorations. So the next day Aaron and I had found an amazing discovery the next day. We saw a giant cargo ship going by the island but not close enough to see us. So as I was getting my clothing I found out that I had a picture in my pocket that I didn't realize was there before. It was a picture from about 2 years ago of my family and I when i took my kids to the park. They were so happy back then, so excited to play. I realized that I have to get home to my family. It has been over two months since I have seen them. I have to get home to see them. That sentence just kept getting louder and louder until I yelled out "I have to get home to my family." I ran out of my cave grabbing Aaron along the way I had to get a little ship together. I formed together the worst boat I had ever made.
I ran with Aaron in one hand and the boat in the other hand and I headed to the ocean threw the boat into the water and jumped onto the boat. I swam so fast into the ocean until a giant wave from the cargo ship went over my little boat. After the wave went over my boat I looked up to realize that someone was missing. I looked around saying "No,no,no,no,NO!" "Where is he." I screamed. "Where did Aaron go!" I looked around but I didn't see him, until I saw him floating on the salty ocean. I yelled "Aaron come back here please." I was about to swim after him until I thought, go save Aaron and have a chance to waste my shot of being rescued. Or leave him stay afloat and leave to go home to my family. That is when I made a decision that changed the fact that would allow me to go home to my family, or stay on this island say goodbye to my family forever.
I decided that my family is the most important thing in the world. So I swam to the cargo boat until I shouted to the top of my lungs " HEY GUYS!!!" "HELP ME!!!" What happened next was that a person from the cargo ship noticed me and then he shouted that there was a guy overboard and pulled me up. The guy asked me why I was out in the ocean, and I told him what happened. So what happened later was lucky was that they told me that they had to stop at Virginia and that I could get an airline ticket to get to Johnstown, PA. So when I arrived at my house after a long plane ride, and a cab ride. I knocked on my door when one of my children opened the door to see me standing at our house since that they haven't seen me in three months. The look on their face was priceless. That is the end of my story.
