Emily's Pov
Did that really happen? I walked home letting that moment replay in my mind. I still couldn't believe it was Cody who had bumped into me. I know I shouldn't be thinking about this, I knew he has Amber so would should I even pry? It looks like he loves her and it looks like he's happy....I guess so.
As I got home I put my things down and went for a warm bathe. I heard my phone ring so I got out the tub and went for it. I was home alone so I didn't even care that I was naked. I checked it and my mouth dropped open, I couldn't believe what I saw.
There was a picture of Cody and I, but how? It was Lily that sent me the photo, the caption at the bottom said Lovers In Paradise or Just A Dirty Lil Secret?
I quivered at the words and I sure didn't want Amber to see this. I got dressed then sat down taking in what I just saw. I Looked at my phone over 50 times hoping that Lily would send a long text explaining how this happened. That image of us in the hall. Who could have took that?
My phone rang, It was Amber. I wondered how she got my number but that didn't bother me at that moment.
"Hello?" I said cautiously.
"Are you that girl in the photo?" She asked sternly.
I gulped hard hoping she would forget that question. I calmed myself and answered.
"Yes, that's me but it's not what you think."
After that she hung up, I was hoping that school wouldn't be a problem for me tomorrow. Amber has her ways of scaring off people and making them stay away. I don't really know that much about Amber, all I know is she's Cody's girlfriend and a Victoria's Secret model. Amber is a how you would say a popular girl based on her looks and so on and so forth, she scares me.
I heard a knock at the door so I got up and went to open it. As soon as I opened it I saw Cody. I was shocked to see the boy I like standing on my doorstep.
"Um...Hi." I said softly
He didn't say anything, he just looked at me like he was scanning me or looking into my soul. We stood there for a good five minutes then he walked in. He held my hands and looked into my eyes. I felt my body melt, I didn't know what to do or what was going on so I just went with it.
Cody's Pov
She's so beautiful but, I don't know her name. I felt her eyes on me the whole time and I just smiled. I was waiting for her to gesture a smile or something but she stood there with her face turning red. Could this girl be the one I bumbed into? I remembered there was a party my friend Loki was planning so I made the decision to invite her.
"There's something I would like to ask you. Would you like to attend a party I would be going to tonight?" I asked nicely.
"A party?"
I nodded and waited for her answer. When she confirmed I kissed on her the cheek and left. I was glad she said yes but at the same time my mind told me she's not worth it. I shook the thought away and got in my car, I drove off thinking about what I did and the amount of trouble she would be in. What the fuck did I just do? Amber is gonna kill her, but thats if I stop her.
Is it me or do I think I love her? I want to protect her but something in me is telling me don't.
