Okay, this is my first FF, and I'm learning as I go, so be patient with me please. ;) So, here we go...

************************************************************************************************

A little background for you. My name is Amanda. I have long, dark brown hair and blue eyes, which change to green or gray depending on my mood. (That's an interesting concept o.O, I think I'll describe how that happens later on. OH YEAH! ...but I digress) I'm also a little-bitty thing; I've been called everything from littlefoot, a hobbit, to an oompa-loompa!

I'm 18 and just graduated from literally the school of HELL! I was the loner, outcast, ____ (insert your personal title here) who kept to myself; it was safer that way.
I had a few friends but not at this school. I wore my dark clothes, dark make-up, black bracelets and nail polish.

I was never called 'EMO!' or 'CUTTER!' etc. it was always DEVIL WORSHIPER! because my entire life was spent in a private CHRISTIAN school. See why it was the school of HELL! It's safe to say I didn't fit in. LOL

I've never understood that either; I mean priest wear black... nuns wear black habits... choirs wear black robes... and a lot of preachers wear black suits. But I'M the devil worshiper! Go figure! How cruel and ignorant kids can be. (Oh God! I'm rambling! ...on with the story!)

Well, as life has it, I'm just here. I have no plans for the summer, and I don't know what I'm going to do with my life... Blah! Blah! Blah!
It's the first week of parole from my own personal prison and my parents are already hounding me to get job. (They so want me out of the house... like yesterday.) I do odd jobs here and there for a few bucks, but it's my first summer of freedom and I want to enjoy it!

My parents say I'm a 'handful!', that's their NICE way of saying it. I do what I'm told but sometimes I just have to break free. I'll leave and not come back for days; then I catch hell when I do!
The whole "WE WERE UP ALL NIGHT WORRYING! THINKING YOU WERE DEAD IN A DITCH SOMEWHERE!" rant. Which I kind of understand... but they have got to LET GO!

Anyway, it's Friday morning; I wake up, rub my eyes, and stare at the ceiling. "God, I don't want to get up!" But I promised. Yesterday the lady next door asked if I could do some yard work for her. She is the sweetest, little, old lady EVER; and I can't ever tell her no.

I get up, throw on some clothes, grab my phone, and run next door. I knock and wait for her to answer, "Hi Mrs. Williams, I'm here!". She smiled, told me what she needed done, and to let her know when I was finished.
(Poor lonely thing, sometimes I think she does this just to have somebody around...and I really don't mind it at all, I know what its like to be alone.)

It turned into one of those sweltering, hot, summer days; it's around noon and I'm pouring sweat. I stop and look up at the sun, while wiping my forehead with the back of my hand. "God, I wish I was in a pool somewhere! But hell I need the cash.", I said to myself.

I couldn't take the sun beating down on me one more second, so I took a break and went to sit in the shade of a tree for a few minutes. Checking my phone, I see I have a new text from Kat, my best friend. (a hyper-bubbly little thing that's SO entertaining she makes life worth living.)

"Hey Kat, What's up?", I asked when she picked up.

"It's about damn time you called me back!", she answered sounding annoyed.

"Sorrrry!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever...", she started like she didn't care for my lame apology. "Anyway, I got us all tickets to a new tour that's kicking off tonight!"

"Really, who's playing?"

"Oh, Uhhh...Blood on the Dance Floor, Bullet for My Valentine, Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides...", she said trailing off. I could hear her stuffing food into her mouth.

"Sure, I guess."

"GREAT! We'll be by around five to pick you up. It's like, over an hour away.", she yelled excitedly then hung up.

I have never seen ANY of these bands before. I'm more of an 'old school' music kind of person; like Motley Crue, Kiss, Guns N' Roses... my parents kind of music before they turned weird. But, I had at least heard a few of their songs before; so I knew enough not to look like a complete clueless ass standing out there. Maybe.

Boring right? Well, it's about to get SO much better, I promise. And if I overlooked any misspelled words I'm sorry. I have freakishly long nails and they keep hitting other keys.
