Hunting The Apocalypse

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the End

We find ourselves in the bedroom of young man named Endo Caldium. He is 22 years of age, with a well trimed goatee, and shaggy unkempt hair. Our young hero lives in the simple village of Madrak. The day starts like any other for Endo Caldium. He wakes up, and he eats breakfast, and gets ready for a day working in the fields. Before he made his way to the work he stopped by the local horse ranch, where he worked during the winter, to visit his favorite horse, Abdon. After giving Abdon a few pets and an apple he was on his way to the work. On the way there he noticed a storm approaching on the horizon. Usually storms were a welcomed sight this time of year, during the dry season, but there was something about this storm that made hus stomach turn. He shrugged the feeling off, and continue to make his way to work. As Endo went about his work, the storm ebbed closer and closer with each passing hour. When the sun was setting, and the storm was almost upon his village, Endo noticed a strange dark fog approaching. He stopped and stared as the hastily approaching fog, Endo soon realized that something was off. He couldn't hear the chirps of the song birds or the cicadas singing in the summer heat. As the fog drew closer Endo could heard screams of terror, and wails of pain coming from within this mysterious fog. When it reached the edge of the village he heard the sound of approaching hoofs. Endo thought it was the local stable master coming to investigate, but he realized that the sound of hooves were coming from within the fog. Endo watched as a large ashy pale stallion emerged from the fog with a rider compleatly covered in a black cloak.
