Scarlett was packing all of her stuff into boxes. Her and her family were momving to Surrey. Scarlett didn't know what it was like In England. She thought maybe they would think she was a bit weird. The reason being that when she was born she had black hair. Her hair was black until she turned six then it started to turn blonde. She didn't know how it happened. It puzzled her. She thought about it so much it made her head hurt. Did this happen to anyone else? It didn't matter that much. Scarlett hated packing, in fact she hated it so much that she decided she would just get her mum to pack for her. She got up and walked through the maze of boxes.
"Mum, can you pack for me?"
"Fine," Scarletts mum sighed.
Scarlett walked outside into the garden of her home. Scarlett had lived in Australia all her life. She didn't want to move. She walked onto the soft wet grass and sat down. She didn't care that she got wet. She sat there for at least an hour until her mum came outside and told her it was time to go to the airport. It took Scarlett ten minutes to get to the airport. In the plane she had to sit next to her older brother, Dylan. It took a while to get to Surrey from Port Hedland. When her and her family got there it was dark. It then took them 25 minutes to get to their house. It was a really big house with a huge yard. She got out of the car that they were renting and walked towards the house. When she got closer she could see that all the lights in the house were on. She turned to her mum.
"Mum, why are all the lights on?"
"Probably the caretaker. Here open the door," Scarletts mum handed her the keys to the new house.Scarlett put the key into the door and turned it. The door to the house swung open. Inside was so fancy. She scanned the room until her eyes caught something almost mouldy. She focused her eyes on the mouldy old thing. Turns out it was the old caretaker. He smiled a malicious smile then walked out the door almost knocking her brother over. "What's his problem?" her Mum said grumpily. Scarlett walked through the huge house, she looked at the chandeliers and the shiny polished floor, she looked at the furniture that was bound to be ruined by her and her brother. Scarlett walked up the stairs and saw a room with a note on it. She read the note. It said that the room she was looking at was hers. She opened the white door and saw that inside the room was huge. It had a round bed with a black mosquito net around it. There was anotherr door in her room. Scarlett walked up to the door, turned the shiny gold door knob and saw an amazing bath room. She closed the door and ran out of the room that was now hers. She was so excited about her bedroom that she opened the door just to look at it once more. "SCARLETT!" Her mum yelled. "COME DOWN HERE!" Scarlett ran down the shiny staircase.
"Where are you mum?" She yelled
"In the kitchen!"
Scarlett ran around looking for the kitchen until she saw it. It was the most beautiful kitchen she had ever seen. "Mum how can we afford this?"
"It didn't cost that much," Scarletts mum said as if the house was a piece of crap.
"Did you see my room? It's so great!"
"We all saw your room little sis. Mum wanted to tell you that school starts tomorrow," Scarlett's older brother, Dylan, said. "And she got you a present..."
Scarletts mum turned around and grabbed a basket off of the counter. "I hope you like it!" Her mum said handing her the basket.
Scarlett grabbed the basket and put it on the floor. She pulled off the blanket from the thing inside... "Mum you didn't...." Her mum nodded and smiled. "You got me a puppy? What did you get for Dylan?"
"I got him c-" she started to say until he interupted her.
"CONCERT TICKETS!" He yelled.
Scarlett looked at the puppy. "It's a husky," Her mum said. It didn't matter what type of dog it was Scarlett would stiil have loved it. The puppy had different coloured eyes. One was green and the other was grey. She decided to name it Buddy (after her brother checked to see if it was a boy).
