Chapter 11: Back ?

Kori's POV

It was a week since that kiss and since I last talked with Richard . I don't know if I can bear his persence . Mary misses her , I can tell . She needs someone to be her daddy , but that won't be Richard . I know he is kind , caring and he loves Mary , but I don't want him near my daughter . I don't want her to get hurt , like ..... That doesn't matter !

I sat up in my bed , rubbing the sleep out of my eyes . I picked up my phone to see that I've got a message . I opened it and read it :

Kori !

Be careful ! Keep an eye on your daughter . You two might be in danger . There is a misterious villain in the town . He killed three super heroes already . He is searching for someone . I know that he wants you and your daughter . He knows the Titans , he wants them too . He might know where Starfire is . Be careful and always bring a gun or a knife with you in the case if someone will attack you . Take care and say Mary that I love her !

I gasped . They are looking for me . Who the hell wants me ... again ? I have to protect my daughter . They can't take her . She is the only one left for me . She's my only reason to live . She's my brightest hope in the dark . I love her more than anything .

I stood up and started to pack some cloths in my suitcase . I put on some black skinny jeans , black leather top and some combat boots . I left my black hair down and put on a hoodie , I put the hood of it over my head .I went to Mary's room and packed her things in . We have to leave this place as soon as possible .

Richard's POV

I drove as fast as I could to Kori's flat . I just heard the nws about this new , dangerous villain , who killed three super heroes . I can't let him to hurt her or her daughter ! I know it's not right , but I feel like I know her from somewhere . She is so familiar , but I can't put a finger on it . I ran up the stairs and started to knock on her door , without break . No answer . Where are they ? Where did they leave ? They can't just walk around while a villain is walking on the streets . I pulled out my phone and dialed Kori's number .

She didn't answer her phone . I sighed and punched the wall really hard . My fist started to bleed .

I felt someone tap my shoulder . I turned around ready to punch that someone , but I realized that it's just Kori's neighbour . He looked at me with sad eyes .

- I know what you feel , dude ..... We missed you so much , bro ! - he whispered . I started to tear up when I remebered back to those good memories we shared together .

- I missed you too .... - I hugged him . We stayed like this what seemed like forever . I really missed him . His sick jokes , his animal forms , his green skin , his voice , his weirdness .

- Do you know where Starfire is ? - I asked full with hope that I'll be able to find the love of my life .

- Sorry , dude . No one knows where she is . We talked the Cyborg a month ago , he didn't hear about her either .

I hid my face in my hands .

- I messed up badly , didn't I ?

- Yes , you did , but I think she forgave you a long time ago .

- What do you mean ? - I looked up . He motioned for me to turn around and I did as I was told . I gasped . I couldn't believe my eyes .

In front of me was standing the world's most beautiful woman . Her shiny red hair was down , her green dress hugged her curves perfectly , her emerald green eyes looked deep in my blue ones . I took a step closer and blinked twice .

She smiled at me . I didn't hold myself back anymore . I ran up to her . I engulfed her into a tight hug and spinned her around in the air . She let out a cute giggle . Oh , how much I missed her giggle , smile , laugh , form , smell ..... I missed her !

- Starfire .... - I whispered into her red hair , what smelled like vanilla and strawberry .

- Hi , Robin . It's good to see you again ... - she said , pulling away .

I leaned in to kiss her , but she pushed me away . I looked at her with confusion .

- I have to tell you something.... - she explained . I just nodded and grabbed her hand .

I led her to Beastboy's living room , where Raven greeted us with big hugs and their daughter looked at us in confusion .

- You know the time when I left .... Yeah , so I moved as far away as I could and started my carieer as a singer . After a month or so ..... I found out that I'm pregnant . I know it was Robin's , I didn't sleep with anyone else in my entire life . I decided to keep the baby . She turned out to be a girl . I named her after your mother , Mary . She looks a lot like you . I changed my name and identity and came here .... I changed my name to Kori Anders .

My eyes widened . She betrayed me thw whole time saying that she's not Starfire . She hid my daughter ?!

- You were here the whole time and you didn't tell me !! - I yelled standing up .

- Why ? Because you care that much ?! You cheated on me ! You didn't even search for me and now you're saying that everything was my fault ?! - she argued . She was right , but in that moment anger took over me .

- She is my daughter ! I have every right to be with her !

- You weren't there for us in the first five years of our life ! - she yelled then ran away .

I felt so bad . She ran away .... again .
