Dilemma

Chapter 3:

Tamara's P.O.V.

"No go pick up Marcy from day care first then go get the cake from the bakery. Because the bakery is always super busy and you'll be late getting her if you go there first." I said eating my salad in the hospital cafeteria.

"Ok. Well the dinner starts at 6 so you have enough time to shower and get ready, just meet us at the restaurant." Terrence said

"Alright, well I'll call you when I get off to make sure that you have everything." I said drinking some water

"I'm not going to forget, it's my grandma's birthday and just thinking about how my mom would react if I did forget something is enough of a threat to make sure I remember." He laughed.

"Whatever you don't care if she gets mad at you." I said chuckling.

"You right."

"Well I gotta go Hun my break is over in 10 minutes and you talking to me is making me eat slower." I said seriously

"My bad I want my baby to be energized while she's on the job stabbing needles into people all day. Love you" he said

" fuck you." I laughed.

" alright remember that tonight."

"Ok I will love you ugly."

" Love you too." He said ending the call.

I continued eating till I was finished and decided to just clock in 3 minutes early.

"I can't believe she's back so soon." My co worker Ashland said while writing down something on her clipboard.

"Yea.. I didn't have anything else to do so I said might as well." I said picking up a clipboard out the holder seeing who I needed to check on next.

" Omg. Girl you're going to have to deal with Ms. Davis today because I don't have time for her attitude." Ashland said rolling her eyes.

I took the clipboard from her and gave her the one I had. "You know I don't care I do my job and walk out, I don't care about they little attitudes." I said seriously.

"You better than me because I'll wrap that blood pressure cord around her throat." She said laughing.

"You crazy.." I said shaking my head while making my way to Mrs. Davis room.

"Knock knock, Mrs. Davis I'm here to check your blood pressure and give you your heart medicine." I said knocking on the door and walking inside to see the elderly black woman laying back in bed watching t.v.

"Well hurry up because my show is about to come on and I like to be alone while I'm watching it." She said rudely.

"Alrighty then.." I said cursing her out in my head.

I checked her blood pressure, writing it down on her clipboard then giving her her medicine writing down the time it was given.

"Have a nice day and I'll be back in two hours to see how you're feeling." I said nicely

"Ok." She said blandly
