"WHAT!? No way! You cannot do that! Don't you see how much we can't stand each other?" I almost yelled at him.
Mr. Phelps looked a little taken aback. "Yes I do see that miss Davis and that's why I'm doing it" he said. "to make you get along."
"There is no way I'm going to work with HER!" David said pointing at me. I looked at him, and saw shock and disbelief on his face. Exactly the look I could imagine myself having.
"We promise never to fight again if you just don't do this!" I said knowing it wouldn't work. Once he determined on something, nothing could change his mind.
"Do you expect me to believe that you two are never going to fight again?" I nodded eagerly. "Tell me something. Do you think I'm stupid?" he asked, mostly to me I guessed. "No not stupid, but you're meaner than I thought." I answered. He laughed a little and signaled for us to leave.
I hesitated for a moment considering whether or not to stay and try to convince him to change his decision. I decided against it. I was quite sure he wasn't going to change his mind anyways.
I turned around and left the green-purple room.
When I got our in the hallway I was stopped by a hand on my shoulder turning me around.
"Look what you did. All this is your fault!" he said to me.
How could he believe it was my fault?
"What? This is definitely not my fault! If you hadn't insulted Lee then none of this would have happened!" I yelled back at him.
"Well you didn't HAVE to defend him!"
"I'm his best friend if course I defend him!"
"You mean girlfriend"
Agh here we go again.
"Why can't you just deal with the fact that I actually have a friend who is a boy and that we are not dating? Why can't you just accept that and stop acting like this?" why was I even having this conversation with him?
I didn't care what he thought about me and Lee right?
He seemed to have calmed a little.
"You just seem more like a couple to me" he told me, looking at the painting on the wall like it was suddenly the most interesting thing in the world.
I had already given up arguing with him about this. "Whatever" I said. Turning my back at him, I walked away.
